Albany,n.y. Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 (edited) AJ McCarron is just the latest ex-Bills QB to end up on the Raiders. EJ landed there last year, as have former Bills QB washouts Trent Edwards, who got cut not once, but in 2 separate pre seasons, J P Losman, who landed in Oakland after the UFL and Rob Johnson whose career ended in Giants camp but whose last real NFL game was as a Raider. Will Nate Peterman be in Raiders camp in 2019? Edited September 26, 2018 by Albany,n.y. 1 2 1

Marv's Neighbor Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 I'd rather that we kept McCarron, BUT, Lamonica was not a failed QB. 11 1
PIZ Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 (edited) We got Billy Jo Hobert from the Raiders too. Edited September 26, 2018 by PIZ
Doc Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 AJM was barely a Bill. It was more like a drive-by. 1
bmur66 Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 I wouldn't say AJM was a failed Bill. He ain't done yet. 2

H2o Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 A 5th for McCarron is almost prosecutable offense. Beane is out here doing people wrong. 2 1
Seanbillsfan2206 Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 I’d feel bad putting McCarron in that group. He didn’t get a shot in Buffalo, and in hindsight, we definitely should have kept him on the roster... 2 1

Maybe Someday Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 (edited) When you've had as many failed QBs as we've had, the probability of a few ending up on the same team over the years probably isn't that high. I wouldn't be surprised if a few other teams have had more than one of our failed QBs on their roster at some point as well. Edited September 26, 2018 by Maybe Someday
T master Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 To this point we are lucky things panned out the way they have it was a bad coaching move any way you look at it to let the one guy with the most experience although it be not a lot of experience walk when you have a rookie QB with no regular season in game experience & a second year QB with the history that Nate had ! If Allen gets hurt the Bills are screwed & at the very least i think AJ would have given the team a much better chance at winning than Petermen I know McD likes Nate & Nate is a lot like Tyrod, great work ethic, great team player, good leader, but when they get on the field for what ever reason it just doesn't show up !! Which is the reason that Tyrod & Petermen are now both on the bench & their respective rookie QB's that were to be behind them to learn have kicked both their asses when given a chance & took their jobs from them . I just pray Allen doesn't get hurt !! ?

I don't think so, McCarron made some stupid mistakes in preseason, mistakes a 5 year vet shouldn't make, I'll take the 5th thank you. This is Allen's team now, I'm glad McCarron isn't here to potentially divide the locker room, Allen is in charge now.

He will probably end his career in Las Vegas after a few more stops first.

I thought about saying that they've been trying to duplicate Lamonica, but then I thought about the gap between the years and the fact that Lamonica never washed out in Buffalo like the others. Mini camp & preseason was all that was needed for the Bills to know they should take whatever they can for McCarron. I guess EJ was so bad they just had to go back to the Bills for his replacement. It's almost like the reverse of when I was a kid so many years ago and I was a big Yankees fan (they're still my top baseball team and when the Bills are bad, I think they're just making up for all the good years the Yankees have given me) and the Yankees would always make these one sided trades with the KC A's. Guys who were mediocre or unknown in KC went to the Yankees and became stars. The biggest name was Roger Maris, who as a Yankee broke Babe Ruth's homerun record. NewEra Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 To those saying he didn’t fail...He was beaten out by Sweet nate Pete. Possibly the most epic fail yet
Bing Bong Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 EJ was serviceable as a backup IIRC. Those receivers were drop city.
