Nah. Ride or die this season with Allen. This isn't a contending team, so keep the draft picks. If Allen gets hurt, we may be subjected to more NP, and a street FA will be signed, but it will likely result in a better draft position. 

 

IMO a team should trade away picks for immediate, "impactful" help at QB only if the team has a shot at conteding.

Bradford and Wentz overlapped for one offseason.  Sam was traded before Week 1 of Wentz's rookie year.

I don't know. He was on the same team. I think this mentor thing, while it is a thing, is a bit overrated.  Wentz was the 2nd overall pick, so he was expected to be very good.  I'm sure a lot of young QB's that were busts had veteran backup QB's as well.

And he's an ideal backup...for a reasonable price.  He can't be relied on as a starter, he's proven that.
