In all seriousness, women football fanatics come across as phony to me. I think it is because when us guys were little we would dream of playing in the NFL. When we watch as grown men, we live vicariously through these players.

 

I don’t believe these chicks ever dreamed of playing in the NFL, nor do I think they have a true appreciation for how incredible these athletes are.

 

I guess what I’m trying to say is that in a good announcer there is this underlying deep, lifelong love of the sport. Most female fans I’ve encountered come across as though they are fans because they want to gain daddy’s or some guy’s approval. 

I know the White Knights and "Progressives" will flame you, but I get what you mean. 

 

And, the NFL has been mega successful so far, including wit women across all brackets. Why change their winning formulas? They really think it will attract more women to watch? Or that hardcore feminists will support a sport?

Maybe they are finally going to judge a PERSON on their ability/talent rather than the type of chromosome they have?

 

Maybe they will both suck and it will be a failed experiment. Both have put in the time to be deserving of this opportunity and personally I hope they nail it

Yeah yeah. Bla bla bla. Why do you think they use two women? JUST because they could be qualified? Like gender and race don't come in the mix these days. Well it goes both ways: you have a greater chance to be hired, and mostly to get noticed and be talked about, but that attention will not all be positive, flowers and rainbows. Deal with it. Not all of us have to like it. That you admit it or not, sports, well men sports, is a world... of men, with its weird bonding, rituals, etc. Primitive? Yes, indeed, no doubt. But instincts are instincts. Football is as manly and tribal a team sport as can be.

OF COURSE they could be good, and the MNF crews have been so brutal the last 2 years that gender certainly ain't a guarantee of competence!

How can you be afraid of garbage movies like the all female Ghostbusters?  It's not a fear thing, it's a forced diversity thing.  If a female coach works her way up through the ranks to coach in the NFL, great!  If a female broadcaster does the same, fine!  If it is a transparent attempt at forced diversity, then it's a load of steaming ****!

So in this case, Amazon has two female broadcasters who have evidently worked their way up through the ranks over the years, thus you're all for it.

Because of course, if a guy were to assume that two females with a long resume were just "a transparent attempt at forced diversity", well, that would be wrong.
