a counter point if you will

If Cleveland had the better all around team  why were they w/o a W until the JETS and way was Tyrod benched?

they don't pay attention.  They just write the crap that comes to mind w/o any read research.

Biggest point spread blowout in 23 years!!!!

To be fair to their stat... the second half saw the bills 3 and out on 3 out of 5 (60%)

so its not like that actually had a major swing on this....

Many teams would play it safe and not run up the score.  (like he mumbling grouch).

Sure, I would have liked to see more "action" from the Bills but the way Josh was playing I'd prefer he didn't need to be hurdling 6'5" players.

Hell there were a few times I wondered why they didn't go for a 50 yard FG.

The key to deciphering these rankings is understanding that a 1-2 team can be better than a 2-1 team.

If you want to see teams ranked by win/loss records, you can open any newspaper.

yes a team that is 1-2  can be better than a 2-1 team.

Things I would factor it

Who did they play

How close was the game

1-2 and 1-1-1 teams way higher than undefeated teams.  SMH.

These things get run like a popularity contest.

Cleveland up 5   Bills up 2.    again SMH

Miami hasnt beat anyone worth a damn yet.

Power Rankings are click-bait.  It's popularity contests mixed with a few intentional head-scratchers just to prompt comments.  Browns are the darlings of the NFL, have been since the offseason.  People want them to do well with Mayfield, so they spike up.  Buffalo is supposed to be the new Browns, the hard luck team.  Therefore they only rose a little.  The rankings really don't reflect how good they think the teams actually are.  It's all about fitting a narritive laid out before the season began.  Unless it's another blowout, don't expect the Bills to rise much even with a win over the Pack.

18. Cleveland Browns

Record: 2-2-1
Week 5 ranking: 23gn-arrow.png

Rest-of-season SOS ranking: 2nd. The Browns toughest remaining game is Week 8 at the Steelers, where they have a 16 percent chance to win, according to FPI. Cleveland has already tied the Steelers this season, and they are the only team in NFL history to be tied at some point in the fourth quarter of each of their first five games in a season. -- Clawson

28. New York Giants

Record: 1-4
Week 5 ranking: 28sw_ye_40.png

Rest-of-season SOS ranking: 25th. According to FPI, the Giants' toughest game left on their schedule falls in Week 12 in a matchup against the Eagles in Philadelphia. FPI gives the Giants a 28 percent chance to beat the Eagles, something they've done only once in their past eight tries. -- Shah

29. Buffalo Bills

Record: 2-3
Week 5 ranking: 31gn-arrow.png

Rest-of-season SOS ranking: 30th. The Bills' toughest remaining game will be in Week 16 in New England, where FPI gives them a 13 percent chance to beat the Patriots. However, the Bills upset the Vikings in Week 3 despite having just a 9 percent chance to win, the biggest NFL upset since 2009, according to FPI. -- Koontz

True,  but he should still have mentioned the GOAT's* twice.

The Giants look like a HOT mess.

And WTF is happening to the AFCN?

is Cleveland really 11 spots better?

jmo (of course)

I checked a couple of these quickly this morning.  Of course some of them very.

...and of course they are a joke.

However, I just want to be clear about this.  I state this calmly.  This is not directed at you Bills fans, this is at some of the guys making the list.

They might want to lean a little closer to their computer or ipad screens to make sure you are reading this correctly.

As bad as you might think the Bills may be the 49ers and Colts are not better teams than them.

Not...OK.  Seriously...seriously, just think about it and you will find that to be true.

They're literally just stating which game the team has the lowest chance to win. The game in New England is a lower probability than the game in Buffalo; that's all they're saying.

Cleveland is a quality coaching staff away from being a very, very good football team. Once Hue Jackson and Gregggg are canned and replaced they’ll be a playoff team.  It won’t happen this season but look for it next. Mayfield is the real deal and they’ve got some real talent on their defense.  Garrett and Ward will be their cornerstones for years to come.

...moving up 11 is a quantum leap....thus a little joke........they slowly do have the makings of a potentially good team as you said.....

They are a decent kicker and ridiculous official reversal from being 4-1.
