That means Hughes will be doubled all game. He mentioned last week how he LOVES playing teams who think they have star tackles, like Minny. That usually means he gets one on one match ups because the coaches think their star tackle can handle him solo. Lorax was joking that he couldn't believe he was being double teamed last week when they got Hughes on the other side...

Just food for thought. Hughes will still be Hughes, but sometimes an injury like that makes his job tougher rather than easier - even with a drop off in talent.

...then blitz from Murphy/Orchard side....the DT's don't need to sack Aaron, just keep his gimpy legs in the pocket.

They were making some mistakes but we were kicking their ass in every way on most every play. They got two first downs. That wasn't them making mistakes. We got 27 points. That wasn't them just making mistakes. It was crap.

It's not Zimmer's job to praise the opponent. He was doing exactly what he should have been doing if he was focused on his team.

Would you expect McDermott to have marveled at Baltimore's amazing performance at halftime of the opener? I would like to think he was focused on what the BILLS could do better. I mean, they did nothing better, but that should have been his focus.

We're getting soft.

The Green Bay Packers will face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday at Lambeau Field.
  • Green Bay is 4-2 all-time at home against Buffalo, including wins in each of the last three contests.
  • All six games between the two clubs in Wisconsin have been decided by 10-plus points.
  • The Bills’ last trip to Lambeau Field came in 2010, a 34-7 win by the Packers.
  • Regardless of location, it is only the third time the two teams have played in the month of September, with Buffalo winning at home in 2000 and Green Bay winning at home in 2010.

Bashaud Breeland could be a huge value signing for the Packers. He was an $8 million-a-year corner on the free-agent market in March. He played in 60 of a possible 64 games for the Redskins, including 58 starts with eight interceptions, from 2014-17.

The one downside to today's win and the way we did it is that now Green Bay will actually study the tape and take us seriously during practice this week. Not gonna sneak up on people.

Any coach who lets his team take its next opponent for granted needs to be fired ASAP.  I know some have said he's a lousy coach, but I don't see Mike McCarthy attempting to immitate Wrecks Ryan.

NFL Week 4 early odds: Vikings open as big underdogs, hope to end NFL's odd Thursday hex

Bills (1-2) at Packers (1-1-1)

Opening line: Packers -10.5

No one's ever going to bet against the Bills again after the upset they pulled on Sunday. With their win over the Vikings, the Bills became the first team since 1995 to win a game where they were an underdog of 17 or more points. However, this might be the game where you want to jump off the Bills bandwagon. Since Aaron Rodgerstook over as starter in 2008, the Packers have been a favorite of 10 or more points a total of 23 times and in those games they've gone 21-2 straight-up and 12-10 ATS. Also, the Bills haven't won at Green Bay since 1991. Of course, if you want to bet the Bills, here's a reason: The Packers are just 1-4 ATS in their past five home games against AFC teams.

As I suspected, the line is down to between 9 and 10 points.
