Heavy Kevi Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 As McBeane attempts to build a team for the future, subtle moves like this help us down the line. This kid looks like a real-deal punter, and he could be our P for years to come. Check one position off the list. Everybody (rightfully so) will be talking about the defense and The Melon Baller Josh Allen, but I wanted to give some love to the young punter. 3 1
LSHMEAB Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 Just tweeted this. That dude is a WEAPON. Unreturnable punts with distance.
foreboding Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 He is good. Stolen from the Pats as well. Double win. 1
DuckyBoys Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 he did a great job, coverage unit did a great job When your coverage team is catching a punt in the air 50 yards downfield its all working I can believe Lorax still does special teams at age 35 1
Bill_with_it Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 Oh it was talked about; ridiculed by those aspiring gms that know absolutely nothing about football on this board. 3
Formerly Allan in MD Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 Any time you can grab someone from the Patriots, do it.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 We obviously knew a lot about this guy. Keep it up.
GreggTX Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 He nailed 5 inside the 20 !!! I know he's only a punter, but he was as much a part of that defensive effort today as anyone else. 1
GunnerBill Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 He had a couple of good punts and a couple of bad ones. Not convinced yet.

BillsFan4 Posted September 24, 2018 Posted September 24, 2018 He has to be more consistent. Every game so far, he’s had a couple bad punts and then some really good ones. Like today, I believe his first 2 punts only went for something like 30-35 yards. Then his last couple/few were amazing. I do believe that it could be part of the plan to develop him for the future, though. The Bills have numerous rookie or 2nd year players starting in key positions. If any year is a year to struggle through rookie growing pains, this is probably it. We are already doing so at QB and MLB, 2 of the most important positions on the field (where mistakes can be pretty noticeable). Not to mention LB (Milano), LT, CB, WR. Why not a punter too... lol.

Freddie's Dead Posted September 24, 2018 Posted September 24, 2018 He's making a few too many rookie mistakes for me, like the first two punts today, and the dropped snap in B'more. Let's hope we get the 2nd half Bojangles for the rest of the season.
