Saxum
Recently I have been having different people using my gmail account as address for registrations. I know a lot of sites require emails to get access but usually in these cases you need access to the account you specified to get access link or code. On one site I was able to get the trial software access cancelled since a false email was provided. Twice someone (different names and delivery addresses) ordered something using my email and in one case I was able to cancel the order. Once it was someone who included it in job application and I sent email stating that I was withdrawing my application until I could get charges of child endangerment, pornography and abuse settled. Recently my email was being used for recipient of INTERAC e-Transfer (Canada) money transfer. Still figuring out how to cancel it. It is so easy to create an email account. I have no idea why these lowlifes keep using mine!

Just Jack
Mine was used by someone signing up for the DSW rewards program. So I went and changed all the info to mine. Now whenever they buy shoes, I get the reward points. 1
Saxum
Just found another one using a different email address asking for delivery address of some items ordered since delivery failed. I filled in linked form with address of assisted living home in Hamburg.
Foxx
i suspect you are being factious but... becareful of phishes, which is what i suspect you are the subject of. there are various techniques to verify if the email you received matches what was sent. this helps one understand if they received it without intermediate tampering. “Domain Keys Identified Mail,” or DKIM, and/or “Authenticated Received Chain,” or ARC signatures can be used to this end. some indepth research would be required to utilized these methods. however, there are other things you can do that are relatively easy to help stem the tide as it were. You know that it's still your email, and this can be used as evidence against you in...say...a future Senate Confirmation hearing? Or really, anything if gets out. Seriously, in this day and age, that's practically an admission of guilt. Other than that, it's awesome.

Anytime you or anyone tries to log into your gmail account, Google's App on your phone will prompt you for confirmation. One of the options is an automated phone call that can go to any phone number that you register (cell, landline, work) 6 hours ago, Limeaid said: No. Not giving google my phone number.
