BuffaloRush Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 I did it. I had the chance to bet a lot of money on the game and I did it. Honestly I was really torn and I hate betting against the Bills but I had to do it. I got a very attractive offer from a local sports book that I couldn’t pass up. But I haven’t told anyone. Not my boss, not my wife, not my parents etc. Just this forum. My wife especially would kill me if she knew I had $5,000 riding on football. Since I made this bet though, I have been very nervous. My stomach feels very uncomfortable and queesy. I have not been able to sleep at night and have been dog tired all day. But really I have nothing to be worried about right? The Vikings are one The the NFL’s best teams and the Bills are not. I figure that the defense will hold the Bills to FG’s and the MInnesota’s offense will score at will against our porous defense. So I shouldn’t be worried right? I mean I would feel better if it was just picking one team to win but they have to cover 17 points. That one might be tough and i am sweating it out. Hopefully I will have some nice cash next week and can put this one behind me. 2 1 7 1
MAJBobby Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 Yeah 17 is a tough spread. I would have avoided 5 2
Guest K-GunJimKelly12 Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 (edited) What line are you getting? I think the Bills will lose but am starting to think they look good to cover. I would definitely hope the Vikings get up big early, then place a hedge. Edited September 21, 2018 by K-GunJimKelly12
JoPar_v2 Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 Minnesota ruled out Dalvin Cook and Griffin for the game so...nah you’ll still be okay.
4_kidd_4 Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 Pretty big spread to cover. You shoulda threw that 5k down week one with Peterman starting.
McNubbins Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 The spread is a killer. Good luck though I guess?

It will all be ok. 2
Peter Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 (edited) I don't bet that much money. Nevertheless, let me put it this way, I would never entertain the idea of betting for the Bills given the circumstances. Edited September 21, 2018 by Peter
Juice_32 Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 If you bet five grand on a football game, you probably don't have much to worry about my man. 16 5
Guest K-GunJimKelly12 Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 (edited) I never bet on or against the Bills. Edited September 21, 2018 by K-GunJimKelly12
Dablitzkrieg Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 (edited) I wanted to let you know you're !@#$ed! This Sunday Allen is going to play his butt off and you are going to lose 5K and have to tell your wife. It was nice knowing you. Edited September 21, 2018 by Dablitzkrieg 6 3
4_kidd_4 Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 The real question is can you afford to lose 5k? 6 1 1

Figster Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 Yes, with that kind of spread you should be worried sick iMO
BuffaloBaumer Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 Why dear God would you ever bet so much on such a mammoth line AGAINST the team you love (possibly). You just created the perfect shiitstorm and if I were you, I would be extremely worried. This just has terrible idea and terrible result etched in stone. We have already seen the worst of the Bills and this was NOT the game to bet....not even close in my opinion. 1
Dablitzkrieg Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 Just now, BuffaloRush said: not really Then you're an idiot. Why the hell would you do that if you cant afford it? 9
MAJBobby Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 I think you better tell the wife cause I think you are gonna be out 5k 2 2
Mark80 Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 I never bet on a spread over 10 points in the NFL. Never. I would have done it with the money line though.
