That Jets team screams 4-12.  They were afforded a ton of credibility by playing their best game of the season when everyone was watching, week 1 on MNF.  But that's a bad team, the Browns were getting gashed in the run game, they sold out to stop it and Darnold wasn't capable of doing anything down the field.

People are ready to crown Baker and elevate the Browns to the playoffs, but the Browns made the same mistakes last night that allowed the Saints to win and the Steelers to tie (despite the Steelers looking like they were actively trying to lose).  The Jets just got too conservative, made some of their own mistakes and lost.

Not revisionist history at all.  I watched some of their games, but not all, and I do recall their fan discontent with the offense.  Pretty amazing how far that offense dropped once Dennison took over.  I don't buy that Manning all of the sudden fell off a cliff between 2014 and 2015.  That 2015 Bronco team would have been even better without Dennison.

Lmao...dude c'mon. Go back and watch the games again where he had to be pulled because he was physically broken.

That game was like one big bud light advertisement.

Was very annoying to be honest.

Pretty genius marketing though - they got a LOT free advertising from giving away a bunch of cases of beer

It also looked like Darnold missed some open guys downfield too.

Baker KILLLED it tho. Def looks like to be the best rookie QB thats starting rite now out of the 3. Its gonna be a real fun season. Allen Darnold and Baker are all racing eachother. we as fans are lucky as f**k

Definitely and I like him.  However, he also does have a nice set of toys.

For the most part, Darnold has looked like crap so far.

On the flip side, the sample size is small, but Mayfield looked unbelievably good yesterday. He looked like a 5 year vet picking apart the Jets D.

We'll see what happens with game planning against him as the starting QB, but he certainly had an excellent beginning.

Jets D gave Taylor no respect as a passer.  They were blitzing on almost every play as they had no fear he could beat them with his arm.  Once Mayfield started slinging it all over the field Jets D looked lost.  Mayfield took away their aggressiveness.

A lot said right there.

Man, we just need a few moments of Allen being able to put defenses on their heels.  If we can't establish that early...bad things.

Agreed.  As a Bills fan for 35 years, I can handle losing.  The painful thing is watching defenses pin their ears back and basically bully our offense while opposing QB’s pick apart our defense.  It’s like being married to a boxer who gets their butt kicked every round. Your just hoping the bell rings to finish the round.  It’s a lot more fun as a fan when your team is the aggressor regardless of the outcome.

Isn't it though, Man?

Everyone else's fans so gleeful as they devour our offense...it stinks.

In the Jets defense they had tons of film on TT and none on mayfield, and had completely game planned for TT in that offense. That said, they also failed to stop the run. Carlos Hyde deserves respect for the work he put in.

He looks to be ahead of the curve with his accuracy and ability to see the field.

what a thread

I am amazed that this game thread has continued to the next day.  I am unsure even Bills' game threads last this long!

Their defense was lights out.

They may scream "4-12" but they'll beat us, twice.
