BuffaloRush Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 Finally Vontae Davis speaks on his abrupt retirement. In this article in The Undefeated, Davis basically said it suddenly hit him that he “didn’t belong on the field anymore.” He told John Butler (Secondary Coach...not the late GM) that he was done, called his wife and left. That’s it. Unfortunately the guy who interviewed him doesn’t press him on leaving. Why couldn’t Vontae have waited until after the game to make the decision? Why could he have stayed on the sidelines to support his team? In fact the writer actually defends him “he’s a grown man.” Lame as snit. https://theundefeated.com/features/bills-retired-cornerback-vontae-davis-in-his-own-words/

Always tough to see the guys that you’ve gotten to know and bond with at training camp go - keep fighting, keep training, keep grinding. Good luck and hope to see all my brothers out on the field again. 19 replies 58 retweets 640 likes
