DuckyBoys Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 You have 10 draft picks and lots of cap space What should be fixed first to have long term success?
NewEraBills Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 It starts in the trenches on both sides. You can turn a team around quickly with good trench talent. 6 3
brianb386 Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 I think with a young qb, you have to protect him and give him weapons. To me, OL and WR are the top priorities. 3
Foxx Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 long term success.... both trenches and up the middle of the D. 1

WhoTom Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 (edited) 1. O-line 2. Receivers 3. CB 4. DT I suspect we'll bring in some FAs and work trades for the WR and CB positions - maybe OL or DL too. Whatever they can't find in free-agency or trades, they'll address in the draft. Charlottebillsfan2 Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 both lines, build from the ball out 1
1billsfan Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 I believe that young players on the Bills roster (or any NFL roster) can make huge strides, even during one season. As crazy at it might sound, what we think is a weakness right now two games in, may actually not be a weakness by the end of the season.

Problem being the bills have the 3rd oldest roster in the league. Only a hand full of young guys vs a bunch of old. I get your point though. We are young at some of the right positions but others need to be addressed asap. Edited September 17, 2018 by The Wiz
ngbills Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 We will need: RB WR TE 3-4 OL DT DE LB CB 1
DuckyBoys Posted September 17, 2018 Author Posted September 17, 2018 I took a peek at free agents for 2019 and its not awfully exciting Maybe Geno Atkins

I see only: QB - Allen we hope WR - Can Zay be a solid #2 or #3 LT - Dawkins we hope RB - Can Miller turn it around DT - Phillips can be solid LB - Edmunds we hope CB - White is legit S - Hyde has a few years s - Poyer maybe That is not a lot

McBean Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 (edited) Offensive line and playmakers for Josh Allen. All offense. KC has the worst defense in the league and is 2-0. Edited September 17, 2018 by McBean 1

All the rookies this year and last can progress quite a bit. Players who don’t see the field much now could actually grow into starters next year. Most teams only have a handful of untouchable building blocks to their team.
ngbills Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 3 minutes ago, DuckyBoys said: I took a peek at free agents for 2019 and its not awfully exciting Maybe Geno Atkins Plus we are paying: Star $11M Hughes $10M McCoy $9M Clay $9M Murphy $8.5M They could all be gone.

The team will become younger once guys like Alexander, Williams and McCoy move on. Next year the team will probably built to outscore teams with the rocket-armed Allen having this year to develop as a starting QB and ready for take off in 2019.
