Royale with Cheese Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 McDermott is not going to throw Frazier under the bus. He skirted that question. He's taken over the play calling duties. The defense has been an absolute mess with Frazier this year. Has any team allowed 100% of the opponents to score TD's in the redzone for the first 6 quarters of a season? Has that ever happened in the history of the game? 1
Misterbluesky Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 You can tell he's pissed on a different level.
WhoTom Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 Sounds like Frazier is staying. Based on the difference in defensive play after McD took over the play calling, it would suggest that Frazier is good at coming up with a defensive scheme and preparing the players, but he's not a good play-caller. If McD can call the plays and they keep performing like they did in the second half yesterday, that arrangement could work. 1
tbarg12 Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 If the difference in defense from the first to second half was so night and day, I'd rather have McDermott calling the defense. The first 6 quarters were atrocious.

The first half was worse. The second half was better. It was like watching two different defenses out there. They couldn't stop a nose bleed in the first half.

I liked what I saw from the D in the second half....had they played like that in the FIRST half maybe we dont lose that game.

26CornerBlitz Posted September 17, 2018 Author Posted September 17, 2018 Quick Hits: McDermott Addresses LeSean McCoy’s Status It’s hard to know if it’s a better outcome than first reported, but head coach Sean McDermott confirmed that LeSean McCoy suffered cracked rib cartilage when he was tackled in Sunday’s game against the Chargers. “He’s going to be day to day,” said McDermott of McCoy. There were erroneous reports on Monday that McCoy suffered cracked ribs, but those were corrected later in the day. As for McCoy’s availability for Sunday’s game in Minnesota, that will be determined through the course of the week. Special teamer Taiwan Jones meanwhile escaped his scary head injury with just a gash on his head and some bruises after he was struck by a Chargers player in the head after his helmet came off. “No concussion,” said McDermott of Jones. “He’s bruised and cut up a little bit,” The gash on Jones’ head did require stitches, which could make wearing a helmet difficult, but McDermott said they’ll work through those logistics as the week moves along. Play calling on defense to be determined Cornerback position still to be addressed
