Take away a few rookie mistakes....(interceptions)......and Allen compares favorably. Patriots loss in a weird way makes me better about our loss today....

wot?

Yeah, I mean give Allen 5 Super Bowl wins, too, and they definitely compare favorably.

What is this nonsense? It's pointless. Compare Allen to Fitzpatrick today and he looks horrible. Does that make Fitzpatrick better than Brady. Why does everyone need to start a thread?

Both Belichick and McDermott both lost today by the same score.

Ergo, both coaches are equal.

I blame opinion polls for these ridiculous compare posts.  Next thing you know, someone will want to compare McDermott to Marrone.  Oh, wait.

The better comparison is to Darnold. Both offenses couldn't get a run game going at all.

Darnold:

25/41 334 yards passing 1 TD 2 INT

2 carries 1 yard, 3 sacks 14 yards

Comp 61.0%, Passer rating 74.6, YPA 8.1

Allen: 18/33 245 yards passing 1 TD 2 INT

8 carries 32 yards, 5 sacks 36 yards

Comp 54.5%, Passer rating 63.3, YPA 7.4

Very similar performances. Darnold's edge could be attributed to his supporting cast.
