BringBackOrton Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 To me, the answer is Doug. Great preparedness, teams rarely got blown out. What say you?
Scott7975 Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 I liked Marrone. I thought he was a good coach here and too many people dogged him. Hackett called a hell of a game too. 1
Virgil Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Tough call. Marrone was handed a much better team. 5 1
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Marrone quit and until he brought in Caughlin their offense wasn’t very good Just now, Virgil said: Tough call. Marrone was handed a much better team. Much better defense for sure 3
Returntoglory Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Compare the lineups of both teams. 1
Bangarang Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 I absolutely did not like Marrone and was thrilled when he left. That said, he clearly got the last laugh. 6
Bob in STL Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Close. Marine had better talent and now he has Coughlin. That helps.

Ol Dirty B Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 They're far more talented... that said, he didn't take the team over and run everyone out of town. 1
oldmanfan Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Too early to tell. Both pretty good. My take with Marrone is he wanted total control, and his power play didn't work. So he took the out clause, and then found out he wasn't as popular in the marketplace as he thought. So with Jacksonville he swallowed his pride knowing Coughlin calls the shots, and focused on coaching he's doing pretty good. McD did a good job last year. This year he'll be challengedz 2
VADC Bills Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 (edited) We were never the laughing stock of the league with Marrone and he has arguably he best team in the league now. He took over a bad Jacksonville team now they are contending for a championship. As of now the answer is yes. Edited September 16, 2018 by VADC Bills 3

billsbackto81 Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 (edited) Oh for Gods sake! Give McD a chance to run that D with his knowledge on defense. Marrone is a good coach but he got handed 2 face cards showing and McD got pocket 4’s. If Marrone was so great why did he sit on a pile of crap waiting for a HC interview when he was available? Remember he had to settle for the O line coach position in Jax before he got the HC gig by default. Edited September 17, 2018 by billsbackto81 1 1

Better off riding out those bad contracts instead of eating them and washing them down with more bad contracts 2
Marv's Neighbor Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Possibly, till you consider the insanity component. Then, NAH!
White Linen Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Jacksonville's defense has been good for a while and they keep adding. It appears the offense is getting better. They've done a good job there - no question.
