You just gotta trust the process. Be patient. The next 7 season's are just for rebuilding, everyone knew that. Just give Bean and Mcdermott a dozen more seasons and we'll start seeing results.

We made the playoffs last year, we are crippled with a bad cap situation this year and have over a hundred million dollars in cap space in the 2019 season and you wanna fire the entire front office? Were you f***ing higher than 5 guys when your wrote that post?

The 2nd half defense is really what I thought we could expect all season.  I hope they can keep it up.

I really hate the thought of an 0-4 start.  The homer in me is already formulating scenarios for how we can win next week.

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Buffalo Bills Live Score and Stats - September 16, 2018 Gametracker

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon isn't concerned about an injury that sidelined him for much of the fourth quarter against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

''Nah, it's just a little upper body, but I'll be straight,'' Gordon said.

Whatever pain there might have been was offset by Gordon matching a career high by scoring three touchdowns, and the Chargers holding off a late Bills comeback attempt to secure a 31-20 win.

When you're missing your best defensive player, that can sometimes be a problem, but not when you're playing Buffalo. Even without Joey Bosa on the field, the Chargers defense still dominated the Bills in this game. Bills quarterback Josh Allenis probably going to have nightmares about the Chargers after getting sacked five times. Offensively, Austin Ekeler had a coming-out party for the Chargers, rushing for 77 yards on just 11 carries. Ekeler is now averaging an absurd 7.25 yards per carry on the season.

The Bills went three-and-out on their first two drives, and somehow, things only got worse from there. As a matter of fact, things are so bad in Buffalo right now that players are quitting the team and retiring at halftime.

1 - McDermott took over the defense at halftime. Glad he stepped up and did something.

2 - Allen was a bit rough, but the leadership and potential there was exciting.

This game actually gave me hope. Allen threw for 245 yards in his debut, which is more than we've seen in probably 2 years

Tyrod actually tossed more yards 5 times.  I looked it up because I thought the same thing.   No more 15/21 for 168 yards 1 TD and 0 INT.   Can't wait to see that 300 yard game.

Agree.   We just have to get through this season.   5-6 wins would be nice.

2 to 3 wins ensuring we get towards the top of the draft would be better.

The problem with this opinion is that the team created their own cap problem by cutting guys that were under contract. And any optimism we might feel by having some cap space available next season is tempered by seeing the way they spent their FA money this season: Murphy, Lotulelei, Davis, McCarron, Ivory, Coleman, etc.

To anyone who thinks McDermott lost his locker room, the way that his defense played for him in the 2nd half should help answer that.

McDermott is going to have a very difficult decision to make with Frazier.  He's a great soundboard for Sean, but Frazier will either need to start calling more aggressive games or be looming for other opportunities

That's a bit melodramatic on both counts. The O put points on the board and the D showed up in the second half. Davis's stunt was about him, not the team.

The only thing difficult about it, is figuring out how he doesn’t get fired. Fraiser is terrible. Look at how quick it got turned around. It’s like he’s on auto pilot and the veteran QBs are laughing at how simple Leslie’s Defense is. McDermott takes over the calls and the laughing stopped for Rivers. I wish they fired him after week 1 but I can only hope it’s at worst tomorrow morning. Fraiser needs to go, no ifs ands or buts and it should have been tonight.
