Don't Worry Ma is the greatest poetry in the history of rock and roll IMO and my recomendation for learning Dylan- start with his first album, and listen sequentially. His first few he was a folk singer. Much of his fanbase was outraged when he plugged in. And then he moved in with The Band and made music. Then he tracked down a violin player he saw in Greenwich Village, pulling up to her in traffic, and hiring her on the spot.
