So to say it was McD insane belief he ever had an NFL career is inaccurate. The word is "inane", and thats not what I claimed. While drafting him wasn't inane, believing he should be on a roster after last season is. He is a practice squad, extra guy to throw passes to wide receivers at training camp type of player. keepthefaith Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 Expect Nate to keep working on his craft and for him to have a long career in the NFL, backup or otherwise. He's still very young. 1

Wow Wouldn't bet on him being a starter no, but possibly a good backup, sure. Very possible IMO. What is he 24? How many 24 year olds are at the top of their profession anywhere? Not many.

Not a professional job like doctor, lawyer, engineer, nurse, pilot, etc. In the regular working world, you may have decades to be productive and keep moving up. In pro sports, the window to play and succeed is very very small.

Domdab99 Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 Wait, are you saying Nathan Peterman is not very good at the quarterbacking? Pray tell, what has led you this opinion?

The tape is out and there is likely no team that would be embarrassed enough to give this kid another chance. No, he isn't at the top of his profession at age 24. The problem is that he isn't even good enough to be considered bottom of an NFL profession. He is one of the worst QBs to ever play the game. Kaepernick helped take his team to a superbowl. It isn't the kneeling thing that is keeping him from playing on a team. Its the fact that he really wasn't that good of a QB. Tim Tebow is out of the league and he did a better job than Peterman. Jeff Tuel did a better job than Peterman. Please let that sink in. Jeff freaking Tuel.
Boatdrinks Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 Peterman starting was the confluence of bad talent evaluation and poor judgement.
