I'm glad they're signing someone like Coleman vs Maclin or Dez that could really help them.  Forget about him being able to handle the Pats culture - he couldn't handle ours.  Their receivers are required to take punishment.  Those short routes in front of the defense lead to being tackled hard a lot of times.  He won't be willing and even if he is, he won't survive.   If he was a vertical threat he'd still be on the Browns or Bills - so he's not that either.

It may well be that Coleman will quickly wear out his welcome in NE given the complexity of the Pats scheme and the great attention to detail required of receivers by BB and TB. Joey Galloway was a better pro than Coleman and Brady made no effort to hide his displeasure with him.

OTOH if Coleman starts making plays in a Pats uni this will not reflect well on Beane. Not at all. And it will be no defence of Beane for Chris Brown (or anyone else) to say as a fallback that the Pats just have a better QB. Everybody has known that for a long time.

So I (and I suspect many others) will be paying close attention.

It will be a disaster for Beane.  The Pegulas surely will be paying close attention as well.

Coaches can out smart themselves.  Coleman isn't a visual learning.   Who cares?  Hell just tell him, you run a fly, a fly stop or a shallow cross.  Those are the only routes he needs to run and an occassional screen.  Those 4 routes are all he needs.

Dure he foes, doc.  And Chris Brown diagnoses it for him.  It was a mitzvah he did right there....

Brown doesn't need to diagnose anything.  The Wonderlic of 10 takes care of that all on its own...

He may not survive past week 4 when Edelman comes back. That said Dez is a locker room cancer and well his best years are way way behind him and Marlin was never that great begin with..

Then why did the Bills trade for him?   I mean, really, what did they do to vet this kid??

All they had to do is watch Hard Knocks to know he was likely to get cut!  Everyone who saw that show could see this coming.  Couldn't Chris Brown reach out to his media contacts in Cleveland to ask what was up with this kid in camp?  How hard would that have been?

Anyway, AJ Green got a 10 on the wonderlic.  Moulds an 11.  Kelvin Benjamin got a &!!  (paging Dr. Brown!) So what?

Reggie Ragland got a 10 on the wonderlic...did Brown tweet out about how dumb Reggie is after the Bills let him go?

This is unprecedented behavior by a team's PR department regarding a player cut simply because he wasn't good enough.  Brown was told to tweet that to make the Coleman debacle seem like a totally unpredictable F-up.  It would never had been tweeted had Coleman not been picked up by another team in the division.

The best part is that Brown concludes that COleman won't do well in  that "demanding environment"....as though he has done better in low demand places like Cleveland and Buffalo...

...and he’s dead.

Remember when he made Scott Chandler an all-pro?

In fairness to Scott he injured his knee early in the season and tried to fight through it.  Ended up having another ACL surgery after the season.

But he didn’t end up magically becoming an All-Pro after catching Brady’s magical passes. That’s what some people predicted. He was largely the same player that he was here.
