The Lions game this year may very well resemble the one in 2010.  We might still be looking for a victory while Detroit looks awful as well.

I think we’re kindred spirits with Detroit

The Jets fans doing the J-E-T-S chant on the 50-yard line seats make this much more an embarrasing loss than the Bills suffered...

Is that Fireman Ed? I thought he hung it up

Worst ever announcer. What the hell is the NFL doing? Last week I had "Good Morning Football" on as background noise and I heard some talking head dude fawning all over Jimmy G. I mean in a lustful way lol. It's  WTF happened to football?

It became “ entertainment tonight”

I hate the jets more then any other team. I live an hour from met life. Yesterday was bad enough. Now I have to deal with all these !@#$ fraud jet fans crawling out of the woodwork

The Jets are the Jets until they are no longer the Jets, which may indeed be this year, but we have seen and thought that before.

Bold Prediction:  Tomorrow someone will start a thread about Darnold's first NFL pass being a pick 6 and 500 spectacular words later conclude we shouldn't give up on Peterman just yet.

right THIS IS A HOME GAME for the Lions...this is far worse

A loss is a loss. Both blowouts, both are bad. I don't think one can be regarded as worse than the other.

The jealousy in this thread is strong. But why? We have our own young QB to rally around. Are we that insecure that we have to disparage a fine debut performance by another rookie QB?

Are we arguing that it's not a "fine" debut performance? If that's the case, people don't know as much as they think they do.

It certainly was a fine performance, are there areas of concern? Possibly. But getting a start behind an offensive line that was very good for him and a defense that not only stopped the opposition but gave him points certainly made the pressure almost negligible. The man almost faced no pressure on most plays and almost always had wide open receivers to throw too. What will happen when he faces a ferocious pass rush his line can’t  handle will be the real test. But for now, it looks like the Jets will be a team to reckon with for some time...
