I watch to here what a competent football guy like Chris Brown has to say - - - Murph not so much ?

Me neither - listen pretty regularly, never once heard him hang up on someone.

 

And is he a "corporate shill" - the guy' s salary is paid for by the Bills, that's no secret. Given who's paying his check, his coverage is skewed positive but fairly balanced, but he - gently - criticizes players and decisions frequently.

Before I could get to a TV, I tuned in to a broadcast of the game that featured a broadcast team for the Jets.  They were probably more complete homers for the Jets than Murphy is for Buffalo.  I get that Murphy/Tasker/Brown are all homers, but it does not bother me.  National media types may not be homers, but they are often ignorant of a lot of the things that are going on in Buffalo, things of which Murphy and company are fully aware.  That certainly makes them more sympathetic toward Buffalo's cause, because they don't have knowledge of the behind the scenes efforts and struggles of the teams against which Buffalo is playing.
