BuffaloBillyG Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 The only WR that I was upset they didn't keep was Robert Woods. But he got paid big to go back to the West Coast. 6
Kangaxx Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 (edited) Sal is the only smart / reasonable individual on WGR but people on this site will slight him as he's "paid for". Edited September 11, 2018 by APoxOnYou 1

Bills fans and media people love running people out of here and talking ****. How many cbs lbs wrs rbs !@#$ even qbs have we run out of town and then looking in hindsight were like o yea they were at least avg or even good starters. The problem is the high degree of negativity and hubris among Bills fans. The same fans who are pining for Goodwin or Chris Hogan are the same ones who wanted them off the team when they were free agents

Just keep crying in your beer guys. For once though this org is doing the right thing by clearing us of all the past mistakes. Whaley screwed us by maxing out on a 8-8 or 9-7 ceiling while relying on a lot of vets and giving out some big contracts. I love some of the former players that were good and left over the years but this org needed to tear it down and build with a window that can stretch out far into the future.

Steptide Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 Sorry but I agree with sal on this one. Nobody here wanted Goodwin at the end of his contract. Woods is another story, but Goodwin was hurt alot and was not a difference maker here 1

The majority of the fan base felt that he wasn’t worth the contract he was given. 4 minutes ago, BringBackOrton said: Prove it. No on cared about these guys when they left. A big part of the fan base was living Sammy was traded. I’ll give you that

If there was, it was a very small part of the fan base. Lost considered Woods to be a decent #2, but a guy who consistently wasn’t enough of a difference maker to warrant the contract he got.

We too often fail to remember the human side of the equation. Rumorwas Woods wanted to get back to Cali big time. Money talks but it's not the sole determining factor The Rams are interesting. They have a year or two and then they'll get killed on the cap and have to blow things up.

Woods was criminally underrated as a WR here. Lots of that had to do with the QB. I'm glad he got a good deal in LA and I'm glad he lived up to the price tag. It sucks we couldn't be the team who benefited. 1

As of right now it's laughable to think Zay Jones is an adequate replacement.

He said this year he has made a commitment to take as many callers as he can. Wow was it interesting. Anyway even WGR is not immune to emotional romanticism. One agitated callers was pining about the talent that left the team like Sammy, Woods, Hogan and Goodwin. Sal thought it was ridiculous. They when he brought up Goodwin specifically, Sal said. ”Are you kidding me. Marquis Goodwin!?!? Fans thought he was always injured and not very good. If the GM resigns Goodwin, fans would have demanded his head the next day. Marquis Goodwin, give me a break!” He later said their production has more to do with the QB, than the actual talent themselves and that it’s really easy to look good when you have Tom Brady or Jimmy G. throwing you the football. Prop to Sal for shitting down the emotional romanticism. I think some of you romanticizers should follow his advice. It was great and so spot on!!!! its on the end of hour 1, if anyone is interested Did you just learn the word romanticism? Cause it’s already getting old. 1
