Coach is so big on continuous improvement and learning. He talks about it every time he speaks publicly. I wonder if some smart media member will ask him: "You stress improvement and learning lessons, what did you learn from last Sunday's game and how will you improve?" I bet he would give a fairly candid answer. The media needs to stop giving him questions that are of the ilk of "Why did Peterman suck so bad?" This coach is never going to throw one of his guys under the bus. He is always going to be vague and/or take the bullet for them. The reporters need to frame the questions within the culture Coach McD holds so dearly. As to how long Beane and McDermott have? That really depends. Terry and Kim are committed to them but realistically leadership only gets a to have a very limited number of games like Sunday's before that confidence and commitment erodes. They will both be here next September, but if there are a couple more performances like this past week, it won't be with a lot of security. The team needs to consistently play better and play like they care. It may not translate to wins, but it has to show promise. Sunday showed incompetence not promise.
Foreigner Posted September 11, 2018 Author Posted September 11, 2018 The Q about what did you learn from Sundays game and how will you improve. The answer would be, that he has to review the game tape/film, You would not get anything different from him. Although he should say he should not have a punter start his first NFL game kicking behind that OL.

OldTimeAFLGuy Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 (edited) ...contracts are probably 4 or 5 years.....but bite the bullet NOW and fire 'em......we can go back to the turnstile of the "17 year drought" with unqualifieds, misfits, overwhelmed, clueless, over the hill crustaceans rejuvenated because they were "re-tired" with recaps....their mumblin', stumblin' grumblin', bumblin' expertise kept us FROM the promised land......wanna see MY definition of a successful "turnstile"?.....how 'bout the Steelers?.......Colbert GM since 2000........THREE HC's in 48 years.......SIX Lombardis on the shelf.....yup, churn and burn is definitely the answer....go figure........SMH.......just amazing yipping................. Foreigner Posted September 11, 2018 Author Posted September 11, 2018 Of course we would like 3 HC in 48 years. You are not telling us anything we don't know. It is just the hires have been so bad that perhaps even Malarkey or Marrone would still here if they would have put up with this organization. Who is making the hires now, Brandon or Kim. What football person?
