Rigotz Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 It’s pretty obvious the Bills are gonna struggle badly this season. If we can get a nice pick for McCoy, this is pretty much a full rebuild and he’s only got 3-4 pro bowl years left, maximum. Reality seems to finally be setting in for Bills fans about this season. We need to trade him now, right? 3 1
BillsFan130 Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 No way the bills will retrieve a high pick for a 30 year old expensive RB 2
Chicharito Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 Since he had been here he has said and done all the right things(football related). He deserves to go to a contender and chase a title!
YodaMan79 Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 I'm astonished at the lack of awareness and understanding of the salary cap and position value. RBs past the age of 28 have very little value in the trade market. When you add to the equation a high cap number it's even less. Also, the legal issues of this specific player and previously known character issues and you're stuck with him. 1
Buffalo Barbarian Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 Maybe Pittsburgh will want him with Bell not playing and then leaving.
swnybillsfan Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 on one hand, you would never get value for him. on the other hand, a case could be made to trade everyone for anything you can get!

By week 4, he will be demanding a trade out of here, so nobody will need to feel bad for him. Edited September 9, 2018 by Billznut
Rigotz Posted September 9, 2018 Author Posted September 9, 2018 To clarify, I did not say anywhere in my post that I would be expecting a third round pick or anything like that, so the crybabies can direct their sadness elsewhere. I’m just saying he has more value to contenders than he has for us. That’s when trades happen. 1
thenorthremembers Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 If you can get a pick for him sure. What's a little more dead cap and a little less talent. 1 3 1
YodaMan79 Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 Just now, Billznut said: They absolutely can trade him for a 4th,5th, 6th no problem, if it comes to that. If you could find a willing partner to accept the money owed (a big if) you're looking at a conditional 6th or 7th tops. In a position of much higher value, what did the Bills get for M. Darius?
Skins Malone Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 I agree with other posters i just dont think your going to get much for him due to age and contract. The Bills dont have much of any ammo to trade to get picks.

jrober38 Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 McCoy looks checked out. I'd try and get rid of him asap. Murphy was our best player today. He ran hard, and performed well on special teams. I'd rather give him a chance with Ivory spelling him, but we need to get something for McCoy if we can.
BringBackOrton Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 I was honestly wondering when they pulled him so early. I know the game was basically over, but he was the only player pulled until like the 4th.
baskingridgebillsfan Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 i think they will see what happens next week before thinking about moving some vets. Realistically could you even get a third for Shady. I am not saying he isn't a good player but he is costly and 30
