John from Riverside Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 I was concerned that Murphy looked better running the ball then McCoy did behind the same line...... McCoy is supposed to be the main offensive play maker. Very hard running for him today.....actually thought Murphy was more effective.
BuffaloHokie13 Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 No RB will see success with Peterman at QB.
BillsFan130 Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 Agreed. Murphy definitely looked more explosive today

Zero respect for the passing game leads to no running game. Barry Sanders in his prime would be ineffective on this team. Edited September 9, 2018 by Idandria Made a typo

Hebert19 Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 He needs carries. When you go 3 and out 6 times in a row it's tough to get a rhythm 1
GunnerBill Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 Murphy was mainly rushing on draw plays on 2nd and 3rd and 10+. That is why he got a lot of yards. The few times he ran on 1st down he was equally ineffective.
Bacchus44 Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 I'm afraid that it's yet another year of opposition stacking the box to stuff the run due to no talented receivers or a good offensive line. I'm with others that say we should trade Shady while he still has his health. He's really not going to do us a lot of good this year, unfortunately.

Teddy KGB Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 Always fun when the op picks a new 4th stringer to ride for. 1

Warcodered Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 Well McCoy wasn't playing in the second half when things started to open up more.
Rocbillsfan1 Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 they need to trade him for a draft pick if possible. Not sure what they could get. Hopefully a playoff team loses a RB. Maybe Pitt if Bell doesn't show. Goes back to Pennslyvania.

But that might be few and far between when your QB is running for his life on nearly every play - especially when we don't have much talent at WR. Edited September 9, 2018 by Bacchus44 More info
DuckyBoys Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 McCoy is fine. I would be ok with them moving him for draft capital He's not going to be the same back by the time they fix the roster

Murphy is a one cut runner, shady likes to jump around before making a move, so he had less room to make all his moves.

Murphy got a bunch of carries in obvious passing downs or late in the half when the D is giving up yards on the ground to get off the field.
