Looks like McDermott was smart to prepare for Lamar Jackson...

The Ravens had already announced Jackson as the #2 QB and RG3 knew he might well be inactive today as he addressed it on the Ravens website.

Didn’t know that. Thanks.

I thought RGIII was the backup.

Really surprising. I bet we move on from him unless the coaches think he just needs a few more weeks to come back from his injury and shake off the rust.

I think that's the call. He's probably been pushing it at 85-90% and they need him 100% recovered to get on the field and back into playing shape. Seems that this was the risk they were willing to take for a cheap vet signing.

Teller inactive... Ducassee has to have some really interesting black mail to continue starting on this line.

No, Teller simply needs more time.  He will get there soon enough....

Was really hoping he had some good play left when we signed him.

He still might once he returns to 100%.

Anyone would be better than Miller and Ducassee. Anyone. Hopefully the QBs went out and got themselves life insurance, they'll need it with the way the interior of this line has been playing.

$4.3 M flushed down the toilet?

This FA class (McCarron, Star. Murphy, Davis)  has the look and feel of a very bad one heading into week 1, IMO.

This worries me. He was our Gaines replacement and we were a far worse defense without Gaines on the field.

And for what it's worth EJ is inactive for the Browns with an injury. So guess we'll see if our depth is better than last year.
