Agree with the bolded, but why would you think we could get that for shady? I mean he is also just a RB and can get them anywhere right? You basically contradicted yourself here. In any event, it's a silly idea by the OP imo. Edited September 8, 2018 by Patrick_Duffy
87168 Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 there aren't many players that I dislike for things other than football, but he is one of them. please, I don't ever want to see him in a Bills uni.
MJS Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 Running backs have a very short shelf life. I don't think it's smart to invest so much in a running back who has as many miles on him as does Bell. Plus, he doesn't want to be just the highest paid running back in the league, he wants to make top WR money. It's his hill to die on. He's taken it upon himself to completely reset the running back market.

Especially since his new deal will be almost entirely guaranteed. I’d rather spread the money around elsewhere. What was your opinion when the Bills redid McCoy's contract? I didn't like it at the time but fortunately it worked out. His contract goes thru the 2019 season so hopefully he doesn't have a sharp decline. He seems to be a decent value at just under $9M for this season.

We have money to extend Bell next year... I just can't see bell playing in Pittsburgh again now that hes not reporting and team has turned. He will end up somewhere....and we have something they may desire. Not a chance, just stop!
Bills Wilk Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 Bells career will be a lot shorter then people think

Take the outrageous Le'veon money in 2019 and invest it in a speed rushing DE who will be our difference maker on D. Then draft a cheap RB in the 3rd round (à la Alvin Kamara). Much better bang for the buck.

eee1776 Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 Pittsburg gets Shady and a draft pick. Buffalo get a hold out. (Really) 1
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 (edited) Doesn’t fit the offense. They need a Shady like RB. Also, I hope the Steelers aren’t questioning how patiently he can hold out. If you’ve seen the guy run, you’d know better. Edited September 9, 2018 by Over 29 years of fanhood
Mike in Horseheads Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 This is hilarious. OP must be a Steelers fan. There are peeps here butt hurt what we are paying Shady so lets trade him and a pick to pay for a malcontent that wants double the money. LOLOLOL

But as long as he doesn’t end up in our division and we don’t have to face him twice I don’t care where he ends up ( hopefully) in the NFC !! Why would we get rid of Shaddy when he WANTS to be here ( in Buffalo) IMO we need more players like that ,personality I’m tired of hearing that we have be (overpaying ) for players just have them come to Buffalo ( here’s to everyone ?who thinks they should get paid more to play here in Buffalo) Edited September 9, 2018 by Putin

atlbillsfan1975 Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 The running back I’d like to see the Bills go after is Coleman from Atlanta. Coleman is playing out his rookie contract and the Falcons have already signed Freeman to big extension. They will not be able to keep Coleman. Coleman is a physical runner but has great receiving ability. For me he’d be a nice signing. Beane and McDermott have a lot of first hand experience from their Carolina days. I could see this happening way more than a trade for Bell. Look for a team with a closing window to make that move, ala Seattle.
