YoloinOhio Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 Or he’s just not telling... for some reason
Coach Tuesday Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 They are still waiting to see whether Davis rises from the dead...
GunnerBill Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 It's a worry. Not so much this week, because personally I'd just ask White to travel with Crabtree and I don't think the others will trouble us too much but next week against the Chargers wideouts I'll be a little concerned.
Happy Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 This just says it's too close to call, IMO. Either way, I think the drop off will be substantial from Tre White.
freddyjj Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 i say let Gaines play CB2 spot and Johnson in the slot. That way last years depth chart wont have to be changed!? 1 3
bouds Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 Darby looked great last night, nice to have a young athletic CB.
Coach Tuesday Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 WR and CB are two of the weakest positions on the team - which is not a coincidence, since Watkins and Darby were shipped out with no replacements brought in. I am extremely unimpressed with the roster-building decisions of Beane & Co. to date. 2
Buffalo_Stampede Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 They do know this isn't EJ Gaines right? Bills are in so much trouble this season.
Royale with Cheese Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 I think we will see Davis start but on a very short leash.

I am extremely unimpressed with the roster-building decisions of Beane & Co. to date. They brought in Gaines and Matthews. So those were replacements. Gaines outplayed Darby last year and Watkins bolted in free agency. I'm guessing they figured they did not want to pay Watkins 16 mil per year. 1

Those dudes were both on one-year contracts which the Bills chose not to renew - they were hardly "replacements" for elite young talent.

Watkins and Darby are Elite? Do you think the bills were going to sign Watkins after his contract expired? So we got a second round pick and EJ Gaines for him and lost exactly nothing. As for Darby he was outplayed last year by Gaines, if you want to criticize, criticize not resigning Gains not the trade. Edited September 7, 2018 by Batman1876 1
Pirate Angel Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 (edited) No decision = oh sh*t ...Davis didn't bounce back noe we have 2 below average players at cb. Cleveland might have paid more than you should for ej Gaines but it wasn't a break the bank set your franchise back deal eiyhrr. Mistake not keeping our strongest group in tact Edited September 7, 2018 by Tazor Face
Rocky Landing Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 Vontae's listed as starter on the official depth chart. https://www.buffalobills.com/team/depth-chart
MJS Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 There's no way. McDermott knows. He's just keeping it a secret. 1

Dr.Sack Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 (edited) Does Davis giving 2 steps of separation matter with a 6’6” middle linebacker? Edited September 7, 2018 by Dr.Sack
YoloinOhio Posted September 7, 2018 Author Posted September 7, 2018 I think it will be Gaines. He’s been practicing with the 1s since the Cincy game if I’ve followed the reports correctly. Can Vontae play in the slot??
