Fezmid Posted March 19, 2005 Posted March 19, 2005 I'd rather Lucas make Star Wars 7-9, but this might be kinda neat... We'll see. http://slashdot.org/articles/05/03/18/1425...7&tid=126&tid=1 Anyone see the Polar Express in 3D at an IMAX theater? I didn't, but it was supposed to be cool (similar concept as this) CW
Mark Vader Posted March 19, 2005 Posted March 19, 2005 Fezmid Posted Today, 07:42 PM I'd rather Lucas make Star Wars 7-9, but this might be kinda neat... We'll see. Keep dreaming. Episodes 7-9 will never happen. It would be great to see Star Wars in 3-D and in IMAX too.

King George will find a way to make Jar Jar Han's *other* co-pilot of the Millenium Falcon. And now Greedo will shoot first......twice.
gflande1 Posted March 19, 2005 Posted March 19, 2005 There has been a rumor that there will be a Star Wars series on TV. It will take place in the time after Episode 6. I have read that Kevin Smith (clerks, dogma, mallrats) and Mark Hamill are expected to be involved.

As much as I enjoy Kevin Smith's movies, I can't stand that he keeps bringing Affleck back!!!!!!!!!!
Mile High Posted March 19, 2005 Posted March 19, 2005 Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! I found the sweetest avatar the other day. Ya like?

crazyDingo Posted March 19, 2005 Posted March 19, 2005 Just as long they don't digitally replace the light sabres with walkie talkies.... 280284 Awesome. If anybody doesnt know what that comment means: they digitally replaced some cops guns with walkie-talkies when E.T. was re-released. Personally I'm hoping they digitally replace Carrie Fisher with Jessica Alba.
Mile High Posted March 20, 2005 Posted March 20, 2005 What is it??? 280475 The rebel alliance sign.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted March 20, 2005 Posted March 20, 2005 Awesome. ajzepp Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 There is more to this than I thought......This isn't just Lucas deciding to re-release the SW films in 3-D......supposedly there is a new 3-D technology that has filmmakers pretty damn excited. This is a technology tht they are promoting as an innovation with regard to our movie watching experience at the theater. Some pretty big names are on board and supposedly this new 'polarizing' technology is amazing. Here is another link for your reading enjoyment http://www.aintitcoolnews.com/display.cgi?id=19681

The Jokeman Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Why? 281141 crazyDingo Let me just say I'm glad someone understood what I meant back there at first thought fell on deaf ears. In terms of why the walkie talkies, according to http://www.classicsondvd.com/et.htm Spielberg claims that the idea of the agents chasing the kids with guns bothered him but agree with the writer who quipped What I find absurd is the idea that federal agents would chase what they believe is a hostile life form with walkie-talkies.
Hollywood Donahoe Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Why? Because guns are the most horrid things anyone can possibly imagine. At least according to some people.
