He never got the $1M bonus this year.  He said so himself.  And again the (unamortized) signing bonus was paid 2 years ago and he more than earned it.

More like the supratentorial damage.

Not sure where you got that. He was angling to get released to keep the bonus money.

And Richie got $2.15M from the Bills for doing nothing as opposed to $3.65M for taking a beating.

I would take that deal all day long.

"Buffalo should recover $1.15 million of Incognito’s signing bonus money from his 2016 contract that was pro-rated to the final year of the contract. He will also have to surrender the $1 million he received as a bonus this offseason. That’s $2.15 million in actual dollars."

Keep his base salary the same, he stays. Cut his salary to $3.65M, he takes the $2.15M and walks. The Bills screwed up.

Maybe he fired his agent because he tried to talk him out of this sweet deal.

He doesn't keep the 2.15 million

I got that from Spotrac, which shows his dead cap number being $1.15M, which is the remainder of his signing bonus, AND the tweet from Ritchie saying the Bills owed him $1M.  He angled to get cut just so he could keep the $1.15M signing bonus remainder.  He never got/deserved the $1M bonus for taking the pay cut, for obvious reasons.

Richie talked himself out of $3.65M.  He should fire himself.

He made $2.15M for doing nothing. I’d take that over $3.65M and getting beat up, plus he still might sign with another team.

Wrong on so many levels.

Explain.

Richie was playing at a high level. Huge loss. All-Pro for the last 3 yrs and a good teammate. Should have kept the man happy.

If you want to be able to attract top free agents, you’d better treat your players well.

It's already been explained.  He got no new money this year and merely kept what he was given 2 years ago.  And after what transpired with the Bills and then at the gym and funeral parlor, his playing days are over.  Sure it may prove to be a loss, but at 35, his best days are behind him.

Once the injury bug hits, teams will be knocking on his door.

And they will be sorry if they do.

The teams that were sorry were the ones that didn’t sign him 3 yrs ago for a song.

Ignore the misinfomation about the $2.15M he pocketed?

Did I even respond to that??

You are defending this clown as if he got screwed by his boss.

They came to him and asked him to restructure his contract to save cap space, and he agreed to it, voluntarily.

Then he had buyer's remorse and acted like they screwed him.

Guess what?!

Nobody made him sign it.

As usual, you take snippets of information to try and prove a point, but you choose to ignore what doesn't fit your narrative.

I don't know why I even bother with you anymore.
