The Jets moved up to No. 31. I see Pats' Toady Bill Simmons' The Ringer has the Bills 32nd. I suspect other analytics-driven sites like 538 will reach the same conclusion as ESPN analytics. To me, the worst team in football still projects as a 5-11 team. And that's what I'm going with. Question: when is the last time an NFL team went into the regular season with a QB staff that has less than one full NFL game under it's collective belt? (Peterman started 2 games, finishing neither.) I know that was Shanahan's Redskins - RG3 and Cousins in 2012 - had ZERO games started/finished by the QBs they took into opening day (and, of course, that worked out just fine ... for a year). Has it happened since then? Not that I can recall.

Then, they'll jell in the 2nd half with more home games. except coach Jauron never had a 6-10 season. All 3 of his full seasons were 7-9. I NEVER want to return to that. EVER. one of our infamous 5-2 starts was under Dick Jauron.
iinii Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 Not one full game of experience under center. It is going to be a long year. The Process will be put to the test. Possible wins are Bears, Colts, Fish, and/or Jets. Sorry but 3-13. Pats(2), Packers, Vikings, Texans, Jags, Chargers are all loaded teams. As stated by others when this team gets behind it could get ugly. Teams are already going to throw the book at either Rookie, yeah I know Peterman has been in the league for a year but..... I will be avoiding highlight reels personally.

transplantbillsfan Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 I believe in McDermott and I believe he's changed this to a winning culture. And we have a better roster than last year. And we have a better OC than last year by the simple fact that you can't get worse than Dennison. 10-6 and a playoff win
Clyde Smith Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 9-7. I believe the Defense will surprise again. With the addition of Shady and better QB play than the last QB, we can be middle of the pack in offense.
DefenseWins Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 Last year I forecast 6-10. I was most surprised that the new defensive backfield gelled so quickly. I didn't expect that. Also the Bills overall last year avoided having many season-ending injuries which helped alot. Tre had a great rookie year and our safety tandem became a real strength. I see no reason why the D (assuming a similar lack of season ending injuries) shouldn't be every bit as good. I wouldn't mind sitting Allen till the Bye week. Who knows what we have in Peterman. I've seen alot of pretty good QB's who had horrible rookie seasons before becoming really good pro QB's. (see Aikman, Eli, Payton, Elway just to name a few) If Shady stays healthy I could see 8 wins for this team. Injuries will tell the story for this team...
Buffalo_Stampede Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 (edited) 2-14. Bad team last season finally got some luck. Worse team this season, luck ran out. Edited September 4, 2018 by TheTruthHurts
GunnerBill Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 I have been 5-11/6-10 going back and forth. I am going to say 6-10. I think Miami are one of the few teams in the league whose talent is similarly weak as ours and we are much better coached. So I am gonna give us 2 wins there, the Titans, home to the Jets and Lions and at Indy. The next most likely wins on the schedule after that to me is week 1 @ Baltimore and home to the Bears (but that pass rush now frightens me). 6-10.

baskingridgebillsfan Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 6-10 the easier schedule late in the year gives Allen a chance to do some good things
