From SB Nation: "When an NFL team releases a player who has less than four years of NFL service, he is subject to the waiver wire process. NFL players who are released and have four or more years of accrued time in the league become immediate free agents. Accrued seasons are earned by being on the active 53-man roster for a team for six games in a single regular season, or being on an injury list for six games in a regular season."

Gruden surrendered the No. 79 overall pick for Bryant during April's draft. As for Bryant, this is essentially a career-ender. Players almost never come back from one indefinite suspension. This will be Bryant's second. Going on 28, he seems unlikely to be readmitted to the league. It's a sad development for football fans everywhere, as Bryant had the potential to be one of the top playmakers in the league. The Raiders have a dumpster fire depth chart on both sides of the ball. - Dan Graziano via Twitter Edited September 1, 2018 by bobobonators

Boatdrinks Posted September 1, 2018 Posted September 1, 2018 Is Bryant subject to waivers ? I don’t think he would be but with suspension and all I’m not sure. He won’t come here on his own, most likely.
