They guy showed next to nothing, albeit in a short amount of time. CLE was happy to get rid of him. It was worth a shot, but “ potential” only does so much in the NFL. The player has to work hard to produce at some point.

I don't disagree.

He must have had a terrible attitude and zero hustle in practice.

I mean I just don't get why we keep these bottom of the barrel try hard players that are going to be inactive every game instead of someone with potential

Browns had no value for him. Bills had no value for him.

Maybe he just sucks and isnt isn’t worth keeping around.

Nothhing about his career so far suggest potential.

The Bills said he was showing up early and staying late.  It wasn't a matter of effort.

Then I really don't understand this move

Buffalo Bills roster cuts
  • LB Tanner Vallejo
  • WR Brandon Reilly
  • DE Ryan Russell
  • OL Gerhard de Beer
  • WR Corey Coleman
  • S Dean Marlowe

Some interesting names so far.  Almost everyone had Marlowe and Coleman on their rosters.

He wasn't picking up the offense and the dumb block in the back penalty in week 3 did not help his cause.

Got one right.  That trade reeked of the Hackenberg for a conditional 7th sort of thing.  Give the GM something as a favor so they can save some face and not cut the guy, then turn around and cut the guy shortly thereafter.

John Dorsey didn't draft Coleman. This wasn't a favor between Beane and Dorsey. It was Beane taking a shot on Coleman for a 7th rounder in 2 years, plus salary. It didn't work out. No huge loss.

Any word on O’Leary? If he gets cut I bet his grandad can get him a gig in a few movies.

Maybe I missed a joke somewhere, but since there is no emoji, I am assuming you really think his grandfather is Jack Nicholson instead of Jack Nicklaus.  ?

Dang, was rooting for Reilly.  But have to trust the coaches on this one.  I don’t see him in practice, ... maybe he’s not getting enough separation? Who knows.  The rib didn’t help.  Be interesting if he gets picked up by another club.

Staying late and a good forty time doesn’t always equal production. Something else had to be lacking.

Punter Shane Lechler was cut by the Texans. He could be someone we bring in for Ryan and Schmidt.

Three punters? It’s a bold move, but I don’t hate it!

No one is picking up Coleman for $3.5M. I bet the Bills bring him back for a lot less.

I bet they don’t.

So we would take the cap hit for cutting him and then bring him back at a lower salary to take more of a cap hit?

It be interesting if they did. The Patriots often do it so why not us?
