416BillsFan Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 If history is any indication I'll tell myself that I won't overreact to week one, then completely overreact to week one when I make my week two picks. 1
Bill Murray Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 A win would be nice, but at a minimum i just hope Bills / Ravens is watchable. Last time was the biggest dud of all time century to start off a season...

zow2 Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 I'm not predicting every game,, but if I had to do a survival pick, I'd probably take Baltimore followed by Pittsburgh. I think week 1 is going to be very tough for the Bills.
SF Bills Fan Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 I'd say Cincy, Jax, Seattle and Jets will win, the other picks I agree on.

whatdrought Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Eagles over Falcons- Foles plays when the lights are on. Steelers over the Browns- Time for reality to hit hard in Cleveland. Colts over the Bengals- Luck's back and Frank Reich will be in COTY talks. Titans over Phins- Gase on the hot seat quick- fired by halfway point when #17 looks like he's always looked- Mediocre sometimes, horrible others. Vikings over the 9ers- Jimmy G will play well, but there's just too much talent in that ship. Texans over the Patsies- Half wishful thinking, half realizing the Pats always start slow and the Texans will actually be healthy. Bucs over the Saints- My upset/shocker of the week- Saints take it for granted and Fitzmagic flexes the beard muscles. Sadly this will be like 1 of 3 games the bucs win. Giants over the Jags- Revenge game for Coughlin? Or warning shot for the NFL? Last years Giants team was an anomaly. This year will be much better. Barkley will run all over that D. Bills over Ravens- Half homer here- but reality says that Sean McD. and staff know how to out coach people. Will be a good game, but we'll get a key turnover to shift the momentum. I am making this pick no matter who starts. Chargers over Chiefs- Chargers are actually the cream of the crop in the AFC if they can stay healthy (which is almost impossible, it seems.). All the infatuation with Pat Mahomes will be brought into question when that defense violates him. Also, look for good ol Sammy to catch one pass for 8 yards. Broncos over Seahawks- I don't think the broncos are a superbowl team, but I think they match up well against these birds. Especially since these birds don't match up against anyone. RW will keep it interesting, but Chubb and Miller will hunt and the Broncos will win. Skins over Cards- This will be the "who cares" game of the week. Alex Smith will play well and wonder what he ever did to deserve this fate. Sam Bradford will be applying for non-contact jobs by halftime, and Josh Rosen will play admirably, but unspectacularly in his sted. Panthers over the Boys- The how long can Jason Garrett keep his job campaign begins. Both of these teams will underwhelm in 2018 and big questions will arise at both the coach and QB position. Packers over da bears- Really tempted to call for the upset here, but I think Rodgers is just going to will a win out of the team. It'll be a good one. Hail mary win? Lions over the Jets- another unspectacular game, but it'll be fun to watch the jets catch crap for every incompletion Darnold throws. Rams over Oakland- Again, wanted to pull the upset, but if I had to guess this game will be lost by Gruden out coaching himself. My rationale got longer than anticipated. 1

Dixon will be surprise runner of the year though, and their dBacks are excellent. Bills win this one 17-13 because our Oline isn't that bad with Dawk back in there, and Shady Murph Ivory combo moves them chains all day baby.
