That thinking is called Tunnel-vision!

I think its what people should be focused on.  The kinds of picks Peterman seems likely to throw don't just kill drives they kill games.  Several of his throws were nearly taken back the other way.  Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think you can avoid throwing to the sidelines.

I'm all for letting him start.  He has had the best preseason, and I think he's earned it.  But he's still not the best player right now imo.

From the moment his name was called at the podium in April, Josh Allen.

Not that he’s the second coming of Christ, he’s just simply better as a QB now than Pickpeterman or McCareless will ever be.

My hope is that he ups his game.

Peterman is Kirk Cousins with less arm strength and better mobility.

And less accuracy. And less ability to read defenses. And less ability under pressure. But other than that he is just the same.

...so do we have to pay him THAT much down the road??..............sounds like GRAND LARCENY to me (Cousins was found guilty in MY Court).............

Actually you should check out who Kirk Cousins was early in his career. In his second season starting three games and playing in five he was 52% completion 5.5 ypa, 4 TDs to 7 INTs and a QB rating of 58. Doesn't sound like he was a player that did any of those things well. Even in his third season with 5 starts he was under 62% completion, 10TD to 9 INT and a QB rating of only 86.

I don't know if Peterman will exceed Cousins' year two numbers or not but the bar is set pretty darn low.

I know. I'm still not a big believer in Captian Kirk myself.

Took me a long time to come round on Cousins too. And I still don't think Peterman is good enough to hold Kirk's jock.

Man, I get people having “their” guy, but I don’t get trashing the other two qbs and calling them rude names.

Theyre still qbs on our team. They’re still kids in their 20’s.

Like I said, I get you have a preference but the way you’re bashing these kids is kind of gross, imo. I think Peterman starts and I hope he performs well not just because he’s a kid trying his best for our team, and clearly won the battle, but also because if he does I hope some of you over-the-top bashers realize how ridiculous and petty you’re being.

This vote shouldn't even be close.

Look at the current facts and what you have seen with your own eyes.

Peterman has clearly and emphatically won this job.  He will start.

If not, that means that McDermott's "trust the process" cannot be trusted.  The processes in place have revealed the starter.  Clearly.

it will be a red flag for me for sure if he names a.j. or josh the starter. what's he gonna do?...stand in a team meeting or with the player's counsel and say...

"hey guys, i know that nate has moved this offense no matter who he's played with....and he 's had a stellar camp and preseason, but i really want to play josh because of where we drafted him....or " we are going to go with a.j.   even though he hasn't been up to par, he has experience."  " i'm the coach and it's my decision and it's my plan and process, so deal with it.   we may lose a bunch of games but it's all about the future."

ummm yeah...i can't see it happening.

Yeah, there was a qb battle and Peterman won.

Plain and simple. Josh will get his turn, but Peterman earned the start.

How would it look to give the nod  to the guy that came in second?

Peterman.

Laugh all you want but Peterman is playing the best right now.  And it's not close.

Allen will take over at some point this season, but your best shot to beat the Ravens is with Peterman

One drive against a vanilla 1st string D and the rest of his preseason success was against 2nd and 3rd string. It’s not going to be pretty...

Kinda sounds like something a fan of an opposing team would say. Weird.

Who needs enemies when the fans of your own team hope for the worst. Eesch....

bla,bla,bla....how'd josh do against the first team cincy d?  you really wanna go there.

he wouldn't have time to heal from ass kickin no.1,  to take one in front of the home crowd week 2.

some of you guys seem to think this is the wwe. yeah he's a big boy but he got a pre season body slam last week. i don't wanna see suggs try to up that.  start nate and win the game. if nate plays 27-17.  come home against a crowd that can be heard from another planet get revenge.......and off to game 3. that's my process...

I'm sorry but if we are in the second season of this build and spent all that draft capital on a QB, saying that Peterman is the best QB on this roster is an extremely sad indictment on this franchise.  To make matters worse the O-line is worse than last year and it wasn't great in pass protection last year.  I can't think of one move they've made to make the offense better than, or even as good as for that matter, before McDemott got here.  When we are scoring over 23ppg game again somebody wake me up.

Nah... I think we’d prefer to leave you sleeping.
