If the pocket resembles a teenager’s bedroom, it limits their vision and disrupts the quick-passing game so many teams use now. Andy Dalton suffers noticeably when his inside protection fails. Same as most QBs. There is a reason Tom Brady doesn’t spend a lot of time on his back. He gets the ball out quickly, his running backs are usually good receivers.
