Navy Chief Navy Pride Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 That is hilarious! Did you check the balance? This schmuck has raised 13 grand
Nanker Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 $50k for a rodent... That would buy a lot of rodents. Maybe Donahoe could take the same tactic with Drew. "Only YOU can save Drew. Unless I get a first round pick by March 1st, or else..." Hey, it might work.
HtownBillsFan Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 WOW, anyway to make a buck I guess! Why didnt I think of that
tmk-nj Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 http://www.savetoby.com/ 234190 This is disturbing if true..... This person should be found and shot!

Movinon Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 This is disturbing if true..... This person should be found and shot! 234252 Actually I think it’s a great way to make money off all the bleeding heart PETA morons. What's more disturbing are the idiots that send their money to save a fuggn rabbit –
scribo Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 It is kind of funny but mostly sick. I wonder about the legalities of all these crazy things going on on Internet. Sure, it is very much legal to have a rabbit butchered, and I agree that there is nothing wrong with eating animals. But is it legal to in effect hold it hostage for ransom? I seriously doubt this guy has received a single penny from an member of PETA.

Grand Poobah Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Apparently he's a fan of Cyrus "the virus" Grissom "Make a move and the bunny gets it."

Mediaman Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Didn't Eddie Murphy do this on SNL with a lobster...?
FTW_BillsFan Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 I can't believe that anyone would even give him a dollar to save that rabbit. Anyone that gives him money is basically paying a ransom on that rabbits head. Eat up. I bet he will be yummy.
billsfanone Posted February 10, 2005 Author Posted February 10, 2005 Looks like a trend: http://www.rabbitransom.com/
Like A Mofo Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 I dont believe this wack job raised $13 grand...its amazing by copying and pasting images and using various software programs, what wonders you can do by altering images, numbers etc.
billsfanone Posted February 10, 2005 Author Posted February 10, 2005 I e-mailed PETA: Thank you for contacting PETA with your concerns regarding SaveToby.com, which have been shared with the appropriate staffers here. Sadly, some people regard the Internet as a medium for sick jokes. Often, those who develop or contribute to hostile or otherwise abusive Web sites do so simply to draw attention with offensive content. Of course, such sites are in very poor taste but, unfortunately, are usually legal. Since these heartless people are encouraged by attention, the most effective way to discourage them is to avoid visiting their sites and to urge others to do the same. PETA cannot endorse giving money to SaveToby.com, since doing so will only encourage other cruel individuals to threaten animals in order to extort money from compassionate people. You may wish to complain to the site's internet service provider (ISP) and request that the site be removed. An investigation may determine that the site's content violates the ISP's user agreement. To find the ISP of this site, please visit http://www.H4HA.org/stopcruelty/query.html. You can also submit offensive sites to the Animal Cruelty Action List at http://www.H4HA.org/stopcruelty. It is important to remember that rabbits, as well as millions of cows, chickens, pigs and other animals also suffer and die daily on factory farms and in slaughterhouses and butcher shops. To learn more about ways to stop this cruelty, please visit http://www.GoVeg.com. We hope that you find this information helpful. Thank you for your compassion for animals. Sincerely, The PETA Staff
