PromoTheRobot Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 If Marcus Murphy didn't earn a roster spot with his performance yesterday I don't know what would. And Jason Croom played well too. Certainly had a better game than Charles Clay. 8
oldmanfan Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 I think it's possible they keep Croom, Lee and O'Leary and cut Clay. 3
qwksilver Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 Agree with both of those calls. I'd say Edmunds looks improved from last game as well. Hopefully that is a trend going forward. 4
John from Riverside Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 Our running backs looked good....in a real game we would have ran them a lot more to slow down the Bengals pass rush 5

But the one area that really caught my attention was the massive improvement against the run. Of course, this was offset by the equally massive drop off in pass defense. 3
ngbills Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 Great that we know our 3rd string RB and 4th string TE are ready to play... 1 1 1

Pine Barrens Mafia Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 Reported for not following board orthodoxy of extreme negativity. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Not really. Nice post!
Mango Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 I thought Milano had a nice game for us yesterday. If there is any bright spots on the defensive side of the ball, I thought he was it.

TheBrownBear Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 Murphy, Ivory, Edmunds, Croom and Peterman all showed well. Our O-Line, Vontae Davis and Colton Schmidt all stuck out like sore thumbs for their miserable performances. Mediocrity from most everyone else. 1
LABILLBACKER Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 2 hours ago, Jay_Fixit said: WE DIDN’T EVEN PUNT WELL! Schmidt punted poorly, the oline did their Charger game impersonation, zero pass rush led to wide open crossing routes. I do love Murphy and Croom and can't see them 3rd string very long. Temper your expectations all, it's a rebuilding year.
CLTbills Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 The run game definitely was a bright spot, and that’s without Shady. It’s crazy to me how an O-Line can run block so well and pass block SO terrible. It doesn’t make sense to me. 1
