Anyone else remember when Warmack was a “generational”, can’t miss OG prospect?  Now he’s Exhibit A, along with the other generational prospect (and future bust) from that year, Jonathan Cooper, for why you don’t draft a guard in the top 10.

Hah I remember those threads vividly. The argument was, "Why not draft a guard top 10? You now have an All-Pro at that position for the next 10 years." Ahhh, it's that simple, huh?

Why would we trade assets when the cut off is right around the corner?

I think there is merit to this line of thinking.  Obviously, there are/will be no elite linemen available either now through trade, or after cut down day, but from among teams with better offensive lines, there could conceivably be some servicable linemen who become available.

He's gotta retire a bill ya know?

His Wikipedia page is hilarious some one went in with vicious jokes about the NFL

In 2008 Peters allowed 11½ sacks—tied for worst in the NFL among starting left tackles.[10]Officially the NFL does not recognize Sacks Allowed, as the statistic is subjective and potentially misleading.

Just crapped on his probowl selection. OH WE REMEMBER.

David DeCastro and La’Veon Bell would disagree

People say that about every first round pick. Lineman are no more likely to bust than any other first round pick.  Colts took Nelson top 10 and if he protectsLuck for the next 5 years that is a good pick

DeCastro was a late first round pick.

And yet another lesson on why you never trade up.

It's a crap shoot and the "experts" aren't experts at all.

If they will take a 7th round pick, do it.

A 7th round pick is like giving nothing.  For nothing, this guy is worth a shot.

I would offer a 7th in 2019 to Philly for Warmack and a Philly 6th rounder in 2020.

What makes him a significant upgrade? Looks like another highly drafted guard who didn’t make it. Looks like he’s about to get cut anyway.

Yeah, but my opinion of Vlad is perhaps that low...
