The way I see it, if Allen struggles tomorrow-Peterman starts. And if that happens then I’ll support Peterman and hold out hope he plays well. I think tomorrow is more about it being “Allen’s turn” then anything and that this competition is anything but over. I feel like if Allen plays well against starters, he starts. If he doesn’t, Peterman starts week 1.

He won't be. He'll be the saviour we all deserve and the one we need all wrapped up in one. That's my narrative.

I'm sure she'll get her fair share of kicks this year.  I've decided that I'll limit the kicks to every penalty for too many men on the field.

How did your pup survive the Rex era?

The Rex era was when I simply stopped caring altogether.  The dog was safe.

I'm convinced Mccarron is going to be the starter.

If you are keen on an oft-sacked and indecisive QB, AJ will be a real treat for you. Holds on to the ball too long, limited mobility in the pocket and has a weak arm. Sounds like the guy I want to see behind center in 18/19!

I'm as excited as the next guy for Allen to win the starting job. I'm also a Peterman advocate, and am 100% comfortable with him starting if need be.

If Allen fails tomorrow though, are we back at square one with McCarron, Peterman and Allen? I'd like to think no, but listening to media this week, there seems to be this narrative that it's Allen's job to lose and I'm not so sure.

I spelled tomorrow wrong. Oops

If you're comfortable with Peterman after last season, I think you can have patience with Allen if he has a rough outing Sunday.

Are we talking 4 first half interceptions or 6?

Somewhere in the middle and we have a two horse race.

I want him to look great to show up the other rookie QB's. :D

OTOH I'm sorta hoping he falls on his face so the team starts Peterman for those first four brutal defenses. Ravens, Chargers, Vikings, Packers.

Let Nate get his butt kicked so his fans will start to say time for something different or perhaps he'll play great and Allen can actually sit and learn this year. Either way, I don't want to see that #7 pick wasted by having him get shell-shocked behind that crappy Bills line.

If he doesn’t play well then they will probably start Peterman or McCarron week 1. I think Allen is ready, it would not surprise me at all if he had an outstanding game.

Or Allen could just play great and we could beat a bunch of those teams the first four weeks. If we are going to hope for something it would be that.

Then Peterman starts and we all hold our breath with every throw.

And we will get through the 5-game road trip in the first half of the season before inserting the rookie on the field.

What is success?  Darnold was 50% accurate with 86 yards.  That is being is being touted as a success and the reason he should start.

If Allen duplicated these stats I suspect many here would be calling Allen an inaccurate bust.
