YE OLE can also see this deal happening and McDermott stepping to podium very matter of fact like and telling the media “Brandon and his team do a great job. They’re always looking for good players that can come in and improve our team. Just like bringing in John Ryan the other day... he’s a good player. Khalil’s also a good player. We’re excited to have both these guys here to compete...”

Why would they even want one of the guys we are talking about? Just give them a 1st and a 2nd. The Raiders don’t want a rotational lineman for an elite defender. Gruden will want 2 of his own hand picked players.

Jerry Hughes isn’t a rotational lineman.  He gets to the QB.  He disrupts offenses.  If he was on a 3 year deal paying him 5 mill a year, he’d be a tremendous value.  He may very well be a player that Gruden wants, hence hand picked,  don’t hate on Jerry.  He’s not Mack but he’s very good football player and most definitely not a rotational player.  The length of his deal makes him more of a rented pass rusher, but getting him and a 1st rd pick plus another later rd pick doesn’t seem too crazy to me.

If we trade for him, then we’ll have to pay him 20+ mill a year.  So we’re giving up multiple resources for one player.  Mulltiple picks and almost a 3rd of our salary cap room.  Tough call.  I wouldn’t mind sitting this one out, spending that money on stud OL and a Stud WR, while using the draft picks to get a pass rusher.  All with the possibility that he hits free agency eventually and we can sign him without giving up any picks.  Tough call Mr Beane.  Unless the raiders are willing to take below market value, I don’t think a Beane gets it done.

I don't think Hughes and a first does it.  Say they did have interest in Hughes which I think Gruden might, I think you still need to add at least a 3rd in the next two drafts along with Hughes and next years first.  It seems like a 3rd of a league is interested, so that could drive up his value.  All of that said, I am one of those who has full confidence in Beane and think we would have as good a chance as any.

Macks contract is going to be crazy. I think that decreases his value a lot. It’s difficult to build a good team when you have to invest a lot in a non QB.

Id definitely give them a 1st whenever they want, and a 3rd.

But it would probably cost a bit more.

Just get it done at this point... Hopefully he sacks brady and ends that !@#$s career (idc the location). That alone would be worth whatever amount of money we paid him.

It just takes one team though...

You have 5 years on Allen's rookie contract which means Mack's contract won't be a problem for five years.  We get Mack for his prime and worry about it in 5 years, in which we could become Super Bowl Champs.

If you ask me, it's destiny for Mack to be in Buffalo. Beane isn't afraid to wheel and deal plus we have a sh*t ton of cap room about to open up. Get ready people, Mack is coming home.

Ideally the Raiders would want to trade him to an NFC team, wouldn't they?

How much say could Mack have in a potential trade?  What if he wants Buffalo?

A Mack trade would have to be to a team with a young QB who is on a rookie deal that feels they can compete now.

Bears, Jets, Bills all make sense.

The Packers also make sense because they don’t actually bother with team building. Mack can be their one man do it all opposite Rogers.

It would be insane.  I'm not getting my hopes up though.

It does look like he will be traded though

I would be willing to offer Lawon and a first for Mack and a third. That is as far as I would go, we would most likely lose KB, Clay, and McCoy (after this season) if we took on that contract. There is only so much room in a salary cap.

I wonder if he would have that much say in a potential trade.

We wouldn't have to lose anybody after the season because of it. We have over $70 million in cap room at this point next year

Lost in all this is the fact that Gruden is about to make the Raiders a worse team, and he hasn't even coached a game in his second stint with them.  I see Chuckie fired in 2-3 years.

Here is the deal.  If Allen ends up being a great QB, with Kalil Mack, a couple of free agent lineman (which we easily will have the money for) and another weapon or two on offense, I think we are legit Super Bowl contenders in 2019.  Kalil Mack is the closest thing the NFL has seen to Lawrence Taylor since he retired and I really wouldn't care if we gave up our next two firsts.

You are vastly overestimating Mack’s market value.  Raiders will be fortunate to get a first for him.  I suspect Beane is trying to get them to take a second, plus Hughes or Shaq

Behind closed doors you can say stuff, there have been players who say they refuse to play for teams.  Also there are other clever ways to do things
