BF_in_Indiana Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 How do you know Raffie and Sosa lied? You been hanging out in the bathroom stalls in Chicago, Texas and Baltimore???While I strongly suspect Sosa did roids, he's never been caught with anything. Big Mac had andro in his locker and got called out on it --- so we at least have proof he was doing something. 279553 Sosa was also known to use legal supplements. Createin maybe?
Alaska Darin Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 How about Rep. Henry Waxman from California, does he resemble a rat or what?Ratface 278939 Resembles? Is.
RJsackedagain Posted March 18, 2005 Author Posted March 18, 2005 Resembles? Is. 279677 I wonder if he has a hard time pulling chicks with that mug?????
bb63 Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 Does it matter ? It"s not like baseball really and truly wants to create an effective way to deal with the steroid issue.
Alaska Darin Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 Does it matter ? It"s not like baseball really and truly wants to create an effective way to deal with the steroid issue. 279830 Thankfully Congress does, though.
bb63 Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 Thankfully Congress does, though. 279833 It"s just to bad that congress has to get involved, when it"s baseball that should do it"s on dirty work
kasper13 Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 If Sosa & Palmiero lied to congress under oath, they won't be playing baseball. They will be in prison. FEDERAL "don't pick up the soap" prison. Lying to congress under oath is almost worse than killing someone. Palmiero better leave the Viagara at home when they haul his ass to the joint.
elcrusho Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 How come no one is suing Canseco though... If what he is saying is lies then why don't they sue him for defamation of character?? hmmmm...
jarthur31 Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 To those people who think steroids is a non issue: would you want your sons and daughters juicing up? I think it does matter. It's like saying it's ok for them to smoke pot and snort coke. All of these substances, hurt you in the end.
IDBillzFan Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 McGwire is the only one that didn't LIE yesterday. He just refused to answer questions. Palmero and Sosa just flat out lied. 279433 You're accusing these guys of perjury. And you are sure they lied...how? Did you sell them the steroids? Did you watch them inject? Did they tell you? How come you aren't there?
billsfanone Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 Did Sosa lie? I didn't hear the entire testimony, but I read a quote in the paper that went something like "I never INJECTED any drugs..." Didn't say that he never chowed down on steroid sandwiches.
Tom Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 Canseco was the best person to testify ALL DAY. He's the most credible of all of them right now as sad as that is. He was the most credible.... I have a new founde respect for Jose.
crazyDingo Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 Yes, but I say who cares. Let them all juice up, the game is more exciting that way. I'm down with a 200HR season 279310 Totally. Ya know what? LETS EMBRACE CHEMICALLY ENHANCED BASEBALL! While we're at it: Let the runners keep the bat as they round the bases and use their new 'roid rage to make rounding the bases FULL CONTACT! Let the pitcher bean one runner per inning--two, if the first is a knockout. Lets get the pharmeceutical industry involved as a sponser like they do in racing and Bonds can come out plastered with ads for Zoloft and Viagra (insert your own joke here). Bring it on! I might actually watch a game.
BF_in_Indiana Posted March 19, 2005 Posted March 19, 2005 You're accusing these guys of perjury. And you are sure they lied...how? Did you sell them the steroids? Did you watch them inject? Did they tell you? How come you aren't there? 279974 And how many of these people trashing McGwire shot up with him? My point is, he didn't say he did and he didn't say he didn't. The people like Sosa that say they didn't are "probably" not telling the truth, if they were then steroids in baseball would be a non issue, but as everyone is aware, it is a big issue at this point.
EDinRTP Posted March 19, 2005 Posted March 19, 2005 How about Rep. Henry Waxman from California, does he resemble a rat or what?Ratface 278939 Duke's Coack K looks more like a rat.
JAMIEBUF12 Posted March 19, 2005 Posted March 19, 2005 also while mark was playing it was out in the open that he did one that wasnt banned at the time.i think they banned it right around when he was retiring,i mean it was some kind of supplement he was on that they were saying waS a form of a steroid i think, but i am sure the bash brothers and giambia nd all theses guys are on them.i dont really see the big deal,if this kind of stuff was out in the 20's and 30's i am sure those athletes would have taken them as well ,hell i bet the teams would have prescribed them to the players back then.
