To be honest -- especially given how much cheaper he would've been -- I would've rather the Bills signed Bridgewater than McCarron.

Oh well. Doesn't matter now.

I do not think anyone felt confident about his health at that point. jets took a  risk .
I like the Kid , even with his early troubles . QBs mature. Mentally able to grow has got to be one of the biggest features you want in a QB after tangibles.
  wish him well.

and i would have taken TB over McCarron if i was smarter and with hindsight at my disposal ! and i liked AJM coming over .

Nice opening drive by Darnold with good command of the offense and several good throws.

Darnold had a nice scramble to keep the drive going.

Don’t forget that their stout defense from last year is going to be better this year.

One man's opinion.

After completing half his passes for a 5.4 YPA?  Sorry but it's way too premature to say he'll even be an average NFL starter right now, much less a "gigantic star."

Really? Not the preseason stats thing again.  He's certainly basing his opinion on many other factors.

Darnold was the QB from this class I got to see play the most in college. Really like(d) him and his talent - but now he's a Jet, so I hope my analysis was waaaaaaay off.

I don't think it was though...
