That TD pass last night showed me just about everything I need to know.

I think the search is - at long last - over.

Good sign. You would think that vets like Alexander would know talent when he sees it. He doesn’t have to say anything if he felt negatively about Allen. He clearly states that the team would have just as much chance of winning with Allen as the other two qbs. That’s as a rookie too!

Hope so. I didn’t think his mobility would transfer to the nfl. Guess I was wrong!

It’s easy to critique Allen on strengths and weaknesses! But, the feeling I get watching him is that he just can play the game!! He’s a Qb, period.

I find this amusing.  alot of people on these boards were like "Josh is a first rounder.  Just play him".   Meanwhile McD put him with the 3rd team.  Now as you see Josh improve he is making everyone around him better.

The players aren't dumb.  They want to win and if they see Josh as the guy to do it that is who they will want.

McD understands...

with all of the hubbub surrounding the draft, and all the negative prognostications about Allen...i think many of us were prepared for a train wreck. but what we have found is that we drafted a big, strong, athletic kid with a rocket arm who seems to have a genuine love for the game and a desire to be great. a kid that puts in the work on the field and in the film room. it seems he is further along than what many of us were expecting, and now those of us that were optimistically skeptical are getting downright giddy!

It's obvious that the whole team gets a boost when he is in there. You can feel the excitement.

There is no point in keeping him on the bench. This is professional football...you don't sacrifice 3 or 4 games at the start of the season, just to keep a guy like Allen away from defenses that people think are going to be tough this season (they don't really even know). And thinking that instead, sending a guy that threw 5 picks in his first start, is somehow a great way around it is idiotic.

Allen is the guy, and the coach not starting him would be letting down both Allen, and his teammates. It's not like he is displacing a respected old veteran starter, or even a crappy vet. Does anyone think Peterman is held in such high regard by his teammates, that they would be disappointed if he didn't get the job? Ridickerous.

If Allen starts day one, this team will be better than last season, and will likely make the playoffs. If Peterman plays 3 or 4 games, there will be wasted games that will haunt them in December.

I fully expect them to all say supportive things, but then you combine that with what I’ve seen in the last two games. I’m very pleasantly surprised. Let the good vibe roll!

If the O-line sucks that bad, it's time to make a trade, and bring in a better player or two. Peterman isn't going to fair any better (he blows).

The offensive identity is different with Allen, and they need to gear it to Allen NOW, not working on plays that suit Peterman's game.

Pfft.

Because Peterman has shown so much veteran savvy.

Love him or hate him, Peterman has played Damm good in these 2 games. I want whoever is the better qb to start. There is a large crowd of people that just want Allen to start no matter what, I'm just in the boat of start whoever gives us the best chance this year. Yes, allen is the better talent, but he's also a rookie and there will be growing pains. Peterman has the advantage of having already faced about the worst adversity a qb could face (5 it's in a half) and has appeared to overcome it and improve. So he may have the upper hand, at least for now. Like I said, just start who gives us the best chance

We found our guy! Pumped to see more of Allen rifling the ball all over the field.

Peterman is our new Frank Riech. The perfect #2 QB. He will be ready if anything ever happens to Allen.

Still need to see him with the 1st team before I go all in on starting Allen.

Thats cool. I’m kind of out of my element with how impressed I already am about him. Stay neutral and be a harsh critic. If you and like-minded Bills fans come around to Allen, then I’ll really believe we’re on our way with him,
