26CornerBlitz Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 It may be different in the regular season, but thus far I see no impact in a positive sense.
MAJBobby Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 So in other words the same player he has always been. With the exception of his rookie year. 2
Logic Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Lotulelei? Really? How about Tremaine Edmunds just running into the defensive linemens' back every play?! 4 1
starrymessenger Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 It's in the past. A long football time ago.
Bangarang Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Somebody once said his impact is made taking on the entire o-line so everyone else can make a play. A truly unselfish individual who fully buys into the process. 1

I saw that too, however Edmunds made a couple of good tackles tonight. He definitely played better. I'm not worried about him.
hemma Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 5.1 yards per rush. Might be a lot of stern words this week.
Augie Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Let’s call this a work in progress, and pray it’s fixed by week 1. I’ll trust the Process to figure this out. It might take some time, however. 1
BubbaT Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 I'm more worried about the linebackers. Edmunds gets a pass. He's just getting his feet wet and the athleticism is obvious. I think he just needs experience. But the rest of this group, to me anyway, are backup quality at best. I've seen nothing positive from Milano in 2 games and he is undersized to begin with. I think this is an area of dire need for next year (if not sooner off the waiver wire). 1
White Linen Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 I have a hard time going against McDermott here because he knows the player better than any of us - and he wanted him. I agree with you guys here that he noticeably was very bad tonight. When he and Washington were in the game it was not good at all. On the flip side I could easily see how players may want to proceed with caution in the pre season. I hope that's the case with Star. I wonder what McDermotts view on this is. Does he want players giving everything they have while they're in there?

Jerome007 Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Both the starting OLine and DLine gave reasons for us to be scared... to say nothing of whichever QB gets the #1 spot. The 2nd and 3rd units did well, but the 1st were pushed around bad. 1
Aussie Joe Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Can’t say I am a fan of Star and thought they overpaid for him... McDermott and Beane know him better than I do though but then Tolbert and DiMarco haven’t been great either...
LABILLBACKER Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Murphy is hurt and God knows when he'll be ready? Star is hardly a star. Edmund's is lost and struggling. Kyle may be out for a while. Yikes??
par73 Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Line play on both sides of the ball is a major concern-- as always. 1
B Fan in LA Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Yeah, I'm afraid we saw the real 2018 Bills tonight. We're definitely rebuilding the Oline and the DLine., and LB's............. again. We're thin.......at several key positions............ 1

The Bills started the game with four straight 3-and-outs on offense, were getting gashed by Cleveland on defense, and were down by 7 on the scoreboard. After that, they scored on three straight drives, mostly shut down the Cleveland offense, and wound up winning the game. So which of those segments represent the "real 2018 Bills"? Just curious. 3 1
Elite Poster Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Star and Murphy were two very expensive and so far useless signings. 1
