Coughlin isn't the coach.

He's the president of football operations, which means that we don't know what actually he has his hands on or doesn't, just that he can have his hands on anything he wants to on regards to the team most likely.

He's been in that role since just prior to the draft last year (Jan 2017).

He didn't build the entire team, nor did he coach it.

I said he's been there barely knew a year, and we don't know exactly what he does or doesn't do, just that he has the ability to control everything.
