In a normal year, Brett Favre would throw 20-25. He was brittle. But the argument that a weak arm leads to interceptions is bull. It's more likely that a strong armed QB will toss an INT.

Codyny13 Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 Peterman looks like a very good future backup for this team. You need 2 qb’s and to have him develop into a frank Reich type player would be great. 1

BillsMafia13 Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 Buffalos got some good doctors. What would it take to put NP's brain in to Josh Allens body?
gsurdam Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 MARK MY WORDS... NATE IS THE WEEK ONE STARTER !!!
frostbitmic Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 I'd keep the 3 QB's ... Injuries happen and as yet I don't have a ton of confidence in our o-line. If you do cut one of them, and I do mean cut, who are you going to keep, a guy to play special teams which the league is trying to kill ? At best you'll get a day 3 draft pick and that generally becomes a camp fodder player next year ... just keep the 3 of them. 2

I can only hope Josh becomes a lot more relevant than Chad P. To me he was the definition of average, Career 66% / 102 TDs, 64 INTs/ 200 yds per game. Sound familiar? It should cause we just got rid of a guy just like him but with running ability. I do agree with you that if Nate can evolve into a CP type clone that would be perfect for our back up position but as a starter, no way. Chad was pretty decent but we didn't draft Josh 7th overall to be decent. Personally, I don't think we should look at backups for Josh Allen until he gets promoted from the 3rd string. It's clear he can do some amazing things, but I'd prefer he not start until he's the best quarterback on the team. 1

They love peterman. a.j. has the bigger salary and... if a starter goes down somewhere, teams will be calling for a.j. and.... there's still a few weeks to go before baltimore. when he starts with the ones and goes against 1st defenses, will he take a bunch of sacks?....go 3 and out a lot? we cannot have that. the cream will rise to the top and that cream may be nate. If he plays that well for the whole game id like to keep him though Those 2 series were a definite improvement. That's what matters to me and probably to the coaches as well.

Scott7975 Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 At this point they should still be keeping all 3.
Real McClappy Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 (edited) I support Nate, AJ and Allen. I hope out of the bunch all are Franchise QB's, just give me one of the 3 as franchise and I'm a happy MOFO. Peterman looked outstanding last night. I will even go along with the haters and blame the INT on Nate that hit Ivory in both damn hands. He was still the best QB on the field last night and it's not even debatable. Allen was served no justice with 3rd stringers as his WR's and OL were putrid other than Ray-Ray. He def looks raw and what I expected to see. He needs sometime to hone his skills to the NFL level. As of today Nate Peterman should be the Bills game 1 starting QB. To the topic we need all 3 QB's right now. During the season Allen needs to be promoted to #2 to get better reps in practice. Patriot Killa Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 (edited) Watched a little bit of your team’s game. Peterman looked good last time I was checking in he was 9 for 10 and McCarron was firing over the middle as well. Good and bad from Allen. Allen’s arm is simply unbelievably strong. The ball jumps out of his hand 50 yards down the field, effortlessly. But he also tried a ridiculously unreasonable move by trying to throw the ball as he was getting hit. Allen definitely should continue to work in the back ground and let McCarron and Peterman duke it out. Allen will have his chance to show why he was the 7th pick but for now i’d let the other two guys go at it. but hell what do I know about QB’s, i’m a Jets fan.? Hope some of you guys tune into the Jets/Falcons game. See what Sam is about. Edited August 10, 2018 by Patriot Killa 1

We'll worry about that next year. Doesn't matter that much if he "wants" to be released or not. IIRC we signed him to a 2 year contract. We could also give him a raise if we want to. This long term rebuild business is over. The drought's over. It's about winning now. Get and play the best players we can and try to win THIS YEAR. We can worry about next year next year. 1
