thunderingsquid Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 I know it's only preseason but this offense: (get the WNY reference?)

Having a QB who plays the system the way it is supposed to be played helps! Always said it is hard to block when you don't know where your QB is gonna be. That and not holding the ball for 5 years helps a ton. AJ time..

Truthfully if Ivory had caught that ball he was about to get destroyed by the big linemen. I think that may have had something to do with it as well. If the ball had been delivered in front of him that linemen probably would have been a non factor but because where it was he was having to pump back a little bit and he was going to get drilled if he caught it. I'd say 50/50 on the blame for the actual int between ivory and peterman, not every throw is going to be pin-point perfect, you got to protect the ball at least make sure nobody else catches it.

It helps having a QB who gets the ball out on time as well. 1, 2, 3 & boom its out. No more school lot football this year. While it may have been exciting to watch at times, you just can't run a modern day NFL offense with any consistency without sound fundamental football. 1
stevestojan Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 Let’s see the kid. One snap is enough for me to evaluate AJ.
Freddie's Dead Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 Pocket collapsing around him, AJ steps up and coolly completes the 1st down throw. Nice play.
