First time I saw Ozzy was the Ultimate Sin tour in 1986 (White Lion and Vixen opening).  Those were the days he was wearing robes onstage because of the weight he'd gained.  In 1993 (No More Tours), he was in better shape and had Alice in Chains (and Sepultura) opening for him.

that second tour would have been way better

It sounds funny at first, but consider most of the really famous, top acts in rock 'n roll are in fact elderly themselves.

Paul McCartney: 76

Eric Clapton: 73

Sting: 66

Elton John: 71

Steven Tyler: 70

Eddie Van Halen: 63

Mick Jagger: 75

Roger Daltrey: 74

Pete Townshend: 73

Etc.

In 20 years Paul will be 96 and still be more talented than the crap artists on pop radio today. Hey close the door.....we're not air-conditioning the outside!

Getting a myth established is more boss than a great fact

Yeah. Just looked it up. It was owned by some publishing company, but entered American public domain in 2016, and British in 2017.

I agree.  All the Beatles albums that followed ranged from great to phenomenal.  Glad they got the good stuff out of the way early.

With The Beatles shows their developed chops, John’s voice on Money was the key to early fame, never got back to that sound  again.

I stopped listening to new music around 1993 so there are very few acts I want to see.

Remaining on my musical bucket list are:

  • Morrissey
  • Aerosmith (depending on their set list)
  • Springsteen (for the 2nd time)
  • U2 (I've held off on them for fear of being subjected to one of Bono's sermons)
  • Keith Richards solo (if it happens)
  • Roberta Flack
  • Smokey Robinson
  • Stevie Wonder (for the 2nd time - he's one of the best ever live)
  • Marshall Crenshaw (I'm his biggest fan)
  • The Alarm and Big Country (both led by Pete Wilson on lead vocals)

What I've read is that his last few tours have been quite boring and unremarkable.

I know this is a troll post, but literally their weakest album. Still great.
