I've said it before--the next CBA should make the players salaried employees there they get paid year round monthly, but they have to show up for work every week. They could stay in better shape than, obviously, many currently do between seasons. Also, teams wouldn't be stuck paying so many injured players who go down in high numbers as minis, voluntaries, OTA's, camp, pre-season start. ...and when will the strike start?.....and with the ungodly flow of cash, you really think they'll worry about teams' paying?.....not a chance....

You don't think every owner would jump at the chance of not having to pay for a full year's pay on a player who shows up to camp and gets hurt for the season? Under the system I mentioned, they would be far less likely to suffer thesis injuries if they all started the season in, essentially, game shape. Less injuries=less players paid not to play. That's what I was getting at.
