26CornerBlitz Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Patriots rookie OL Wynn suffers torn Achilles

Does it have to do with being a bigger guy compared to a smaller guy? Plenty of stresses on NFL players both large and small that make the Achilles subject to tearing.

whatdrought Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Just get rid of preseason. This is ridiculous. Have them knock rust off in games that matter. Everyone will come in with rust and get better and at least the injuries will count for something.
Augie Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Do we get a new thread when Brady’s Achilles goes? Something more specific?

Should the league also get rid of those? Edited August 19, 2018 by 26CornerBlitz 3
H2o Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 The preseason does serve a purpose, especially for those guys working their butts off trying to make an NFL team. Injuries are gonna happen. It's just the nature of the beast. You hope it's not to one of your key players, but it does happen. Like 26 said, it also happens in camps, practices, and the regular season as well. It is part of the game. 1

Dolla dolla bill yo. preseason isn’t going anywhere. Wish it would, but ok much money. They should extend the training camp rosters by 30 or so, so teams don’t have to play starters if they don’t want to.
